Job Title:

Senior Tax Manager, Corporate Tax

Job Introduction:

At Parexel, we are a leading Clinical Research Organization company specializing in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager, Corporate Tax to join our Finance group. In this role you will be the lead functional and technical expert on US federal, state and local tax matters. This position oversees the US income tax provision and compliance, including sales and use tax, and local property tax.

Who we are looking for:

Detail oriented individuals with proven experience working as a Tax Manager with tax compliance and provision experience in public accounting and/or a multinational corporation along with a strong working knowledge of federal and state corporate income tax law, sales/use tax. That possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills while demonstrating impeccable communication skills.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage outsourced US federal and state tax compliance processes to ensure complete, proper and timely filing. Provide all supporting calculation workpaper, review and approve income tax returns, schedules and disclosures.
  • Ensure US quarterly and annual income tax provisions are timely and accurately prepared, including maintaining schedule for equity-based compensation, valuation allowance, uncertain tax positions.
  • Responsible for state workpaper, ensure apportionment and modifications compliance with most updated state tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage non-income-based tax compliance, including sales and use tax, property tax.
  • Manage US federal and state tax audits and notices.

Additional details:

Experience with accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740), FAS5, FIN48 Uncertain Tax Positions, and Section 404 of Sarbanes Oxley is required. Experience with Oracle and tax provision software is preferred. Excellent verbal & written communication skills as well as presentation skills are paramount.

Education:

BA/BS in Accounting/Business/Economics/Finance and CPA and/or MS Taxation required.
