Position Description
The Senior Systems Administrator will provide operational support, configuration management, and continuous monitoring of Azure and Power Platform environments in support of a government client. This position plays a key role in maintaining system reliability, implementing automation frameworks, and ensuring compliance with federal security and operational standards. The administrator will support modernization efforts through the use of CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and intelligent automation frameworks to enhance performance, security, and efficiency across enterprise systems.
Responsibilites
Job responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Administer and maintain Azure and Power Platform environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance.
• Configure, monitor, and optimize resources including Logic Apps, Functions, and Power Automate flows.
• Support the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) for secure and efficient deployments.
• Apply and maintain automation frameworks (Power Platform, Azure Automation) to reduce manual intervention and improve operational consistency.
• Implement and oversee security monitoring, incident response, and compliance reporting aligned with federal O&M standards.
• Utilize observability tools to track performance, identify anomalies, and ensure service continuity.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and cybersecurity personnel to support system integration and modernization initiatives.
• Participate actively in Agile Scrum meetings and manage individual tickets through Rally or similar tools, ensuring clear and timely communication across development, engineering, and cybersecurity teams.
• Assist with AI agent orchestration and integration of intelligent automation technologies (e.g., Copilot Studio) into system management workflows.
• Participate in routine system audits, patching, and updates to maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain system documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
Required Qualifications
The selected candidate must have the following qualifications and skills:
• Experience with Azure Cloud Services and infrastructure administration.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Stack technologies, including Logic Apps, Functions, and Power Platform components.
• Experience configuring and managing Power Platform connectors and custom APIs.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Power Platform, Azure Automation).
• Familiarity with Secure Operations and Maintenance (O&M) standards and compliance best practices.
• Exposure to AI integration tools, such as Copilot Studio and AI agent orchestration.
• Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment and environment consistency.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, automation testing, and observability platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and status updates to diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and experience managing individual tasks through platforms such as Rally or similar tools.

• Experience supporting compliance monitoring for FedRAMP, NIST, or CMMC environments.
• Understanding of AI and automation integration within enterprise administration.
• Familiarity with blockchain or distributed ledger technologies for secure data management.
• Demonstrated success building secure automation pipelines and improving operational workflows within Azure environments.
• Experience contributing to DevSecOps or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prior experience supporting federal or defense programs with cloud-based infrastructure.
