About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Strategic Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across the credit union. This role will partner closely with senior leadership to develop financial models, evaluate business performance, and identify growth opportunities. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical and strategic support to leadership, delivering insights to drive business decisions, financial planning, and long-term growth initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain financial and strategic models to assess key performance indicators, trends, and business opportunities.

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on product performance, member behavior, and market trends to inform pricing, portfolio management, and operational strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Lending, Marketing, and Operations, to align strategic initiatives with business objectives.

  • Assist in the development of financial forecasts, scenario planning, and strategic recommendations to support executive decision-making.

  • Evaluate competitive positioning and industry trends to identify risks and opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.

  • Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and dashboards for senior leadership, board meetings, and strategy discussions.

  • Drive the implementation of data-driven decision-making processes across the organization, leveraging analytics and business intelligence tools.

  • Partner with Finance and Lending teams to assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives, including pricing, deposit retention, and loan growth strategies.

  • Continuously assess and refine key strategic metrics to ensure alignment with corporate goals and market conditions.

  • Take initiative to improve processes and reporting frameworks, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures for the finance department; take initiative to recognize necessary changes and develop new, more efficient processes and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal regulations related to financial and strategic planning, including BSA.

Position Requirements:

  • This position is Remote.

  • Bachelor’s degree, or commensurate experience is Required.

  • 8+ years of related experience in data/financial analyst is Required.

  • Knowledge of banking and financial services, including deposit and lending products, market trends, and regulatory requirements is Required.

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis is Required.

  • Expertise in data analytics and business intelligence tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Python, or R) is Required.
