WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work on our state-of-the-art compaction-less database, Firewood, in rust.
- Be a primary contributor to our optimized storage engine that is optimized for our distributed ledger
- Assist the team in readying Firewood (Alpha testing) for production
- Assist the team with integrating our existing projects with Firewood

- You are a coder—you implement demos and proofs-of-concept before writing multi-page technical documents.

- You have an obsession with code quality and performance—you ship code when it is ready, not as soon as it passes unit tests.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Demonstrated capability in the software performance area (open source code or published work is a bonus)
- Knowledge of data serialization formats for efficient storage
- Understanding of distributed ledger fundamentals and understanding of state synchronizations is a plus
- Experience in concurrency control and optimization
- Deep understanding of data structures and their performance tradeoffs
- Rust experience in a production role or a strong desire to learn rust
Salary Range: $190,400 to $238,000
