About STEP
ServiceNow's Success, Technology, Experience, and Platform (STEP) org is the largest organization in the company, comprised of all Product and Platform teams, along with our world-class Experience teams.
What you get to do
We are seeking a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to join our STEP Strategic Program Management and Product Operations Organization. In this role, you will support our Chief Operating Officer and the Senior Vice President of Strategic Business Operations to drive strategic priorities and operational excellence across multiple programs. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with proven expertise in program management, possessing the ability to think strategically while executing tactically. This individual will have the capacity to conceptualize, develop, drive, coordinate, and manage large programs effectively. Additionally, they should excel at building relationships, collaborating, and influencing others, with experience working closely with senior executives across different regions and functions.
Strategic Program Management Responsibilities:

  • Guide cross-functional programs with Product, Engineering, Experience, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success Teams.
  • Align programs with business goals to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Organize complex problems into milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and success criteria.
  • Convert business goals into execution strategies and guide implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain focus, plans, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Establish regular cadences and ensure accountability within the program.
  • Provide biweekly reports on program developments; communicate goals status, risks, and results to stakeholders while resolving blockers.
  • Conduct executive meetings and large cross-functional events.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to meet program goals.
  • Execute change management for effective process adoption.
  • Develop necessary processes, templates, and training materials.
  • Examine trends and data to uncover and share insights with key Principals.
  • Use AI to enhance program efficiency, actions, communication, and risk management.


Qualifications
Required skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Program Management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-centric attitude and experience working with cross-functional teams and multi-level stakeholders.
  • Experience managing cross-functional programs for a large, complex enterprise business.
  • Proven experience in project/program management across multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communicator, able to convey complex ideas clearly in both verbal and written form; comfortable with business and technical discussions.
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills, able to work effectively with diverse teams and guide without direct authority.
  • Software industry domain expertise with the ability to understand complex technology problems is a plus.
  • Expertise in the enterprise software/SaaS industry is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $168,900 - $295,600, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
