The Senior Solutions Engineer will drive enterprise strategy alignment with execution, collaborating with teams to design tailored solutions, support complex sales, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
As a specialist Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in helping our enterprise customers transform how they align strategy with execution. You will partner with Account Executives, Solution Architects, and Product teams to uncover customer challenges, design compelling solution approaches, and lead customers through their decision-making journey. Your focus will be Atlassian's Enterprise Strategy and Planning solutions - including Agile-at-scale, strategic portfolio management, and workforce planning - helping our customers adopt modern ways of working that deliver measurable business value.

Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $168,300 - $219,725
Zone B: $151,200 - $197,400
Zone C: $139,500 - $182,125
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

This role is ideal for a customer-centric, consultative problem solver with experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles and a passion for helping organizations improve strategy execution.
- Lead discovery conversations to understand customer goals, pain points, and maturity in strategy execution.
- Design and deliver tailored value based solution demonstrations and solution narratives that articulate how Atlassian's ESP offerings solve real business problems in the context of Atlassian's System of Work.
- Collaborate with sales, product, ecosystem partners and customer success teams to develop solution strategies that maximize customer value.
- Proactively partner with strategic account executives to align on pipeline, opportunities, customer needs, and feedback - continuously improving the sales cycle together.
- Support RFPs/RFIs, business case development, and technical validation activities (POCs, workshops, etc.).
- Translate enterprise needs into scalable solution architectures, including integrations and delivery roadmaps.
- Act as a trusted technology advisor to senior stakeholders including business leaders, PMOs, Transformation Leaders, Portfolio Managers, and CIO-level buyers.
- Continuously invest in your expertise in pre-sales, solutions, and Atlassian's evolving platform and sales practices.
- Stay informed on trends in Agile-at-scale, portfolio planning, and enterprise operating models to bring thought leadership into customer engagements.
- Capture and share customer product feedback and competitive insights to inform and influence product development

- 5+ years in a pre-sales solutions engineering, consulting, or customer-facing technical role.
- Proven experience in large, complex enterprise sales engagements, ideally with strategic buyers.
- Strong understanding of enterprise planning domains such as strategy execution, portfolio management, enterprise agility, or OKR frameworks.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills - able to influence both technical and executive audiences.
- Collaborative, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to work across product, sales, and delivery teams.
- Experience with enterprise work management, workforce planning or outcomes management solutions is a plus.
- Familiarity with operating model design Agile@Scale, Lean/Strategic Portfolio Management, OKRs, and outcome-based planning.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent experience
