The Senior Solution Advisor role at Granicus is a strategic, high-impact presales position for experienced professionals who excel at storytelling, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional collaboration. As a Senior Advisor, you’ll lead “Art of the Possible” and Vision Demonstrations that are critical to helping public agencies visualize transformation—before a formal solution design is even on the table.
You will serve as a thought partner to account executives and product marketing, shaping early-stage opportunity direction and ensuring our solution messaging lands with clarity, relevance, and confidence. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced sales environments and who are ready to model excellence for the rest of the Advisor team.
About our team:
- We are a collaborative, mission-driven group of presales professionals who are driven by purpose, guided by curiosity, and committed to continuous improvement. We believe in the power of technology to improve lives. We partner closely with sales, product, and marketing to connect government agencies with solutions that create measurable impact. Our team values humility, creativity, and mutual support—and we celebrate small wins as much as major milestones.
- You’ll be joining a supportive environment where questions are encouraged, mistakes are part of learning, and continuous growth is the expectation.
How we show up to work:
- We approach every engagement with empathy, professionalism, and a deep respect for the complexity of public sector work. We show up prepared, curious, and ready to help—whether we’re collaborating with a teammate, delivering a vision demo, or joining a customer call. We believe how we show up matters just as much as what we deliver.
- We trust each other, give feedback generously, and strive to model integrity and thoughtfulness in everything we do.
What we're looking for:
- 4–6 years of experience in solution consulting, presales, or public-sector SaaS engagements
- Confidence leading early-stage discovery and facilitating value-based conversations with a variety of stakeholders, including senior government decision-makers
- Ability to craft compelling narratives that tie customer context to solution outcomes
- Skilled at adapting content and messaging for multiple personas and agency roles
- Demonstrated success in shaping opportunity direction and collaborating with AEs to improve win probability
- Comfortable coaching others and elevating team performance through informal mentorship
- Deep curiosity about public sector transformation, with awareness of trends in digital service delivery, procurement, and funding
Key responsibilities:
- Lead “Art of the Possible” and Vision Demonstrations for top-of-funnel opportunities across government verticals
- Drive discovery efforts to uncover buyer context, language, objections, and mission priorities
- Craft and deliver narratives that simplify complexity and align to stakeholder pain points and aspirations
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to evolve demo frameworks, language, and positioning
- Partner with AEs on opportunity strategy, including stage progression, persona coverage, and qualification
- Capture insights from field interactions to inform product, sales enablement, and marketing
- Contribute to team demo playbooks, reusable messaging assets, and new hire onboarding initiatives
- Serve as a mentor and thought partner to Associate and Solution Advisors
How success is measured:
- Vision demonstrations consistently result in Stage 1 to Stage 2 progression, contributing to pipeline movement and Government Experience Cloud qualification
- Demo narratives are consistently tailored, high-impact, and aligned to buyer persona, agency context, and public sector priorities
- AEs proactively request your support based on value delivered and past results
- Feedback from AEs, Product Marketing, and Sales Leadership reflects your influence on early-stage messaging and strategic positioning
- You identify patterns and recurring objections that lead to improvements in demo methodology, messaging assets, or qualification strategy
- You are recognized by peers and managers as a coach, contributor, and model of cross-functional collaboration
