You will be responsible for balancing project demands with a long-term focus on team development, hiring, and individual growth. Success in this role means ensuring technical excellence, driving alignment, and cultivating an autonomous, high-trust team environment.
- Provide senior-level mentorship and coaching to team leads and engineers. Foster a high-performance culture with a balanced, empathetic approach to performance management, career growth, and employee satisfaction.
- Effectively manage and harmonize the output of distributed teams, ensuring clear communication, goal alignment, and a unified engineering standard across all projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to oversee the technical roadmap, resource allocation, and execution across multiple concurrent engineering projects, ensuring delivery meets quality, scale, and timeline targets.
- Partner with architects and Principal Engineers to champion technical excellence, ensuring engineering solutions align with Dynatrace’s modern, cloud-native technology stack.
- Proactively drive recruiting strategy, hiring, and onboarding of top-tier engineering talent to scale teams effectively and efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on building scalable, enterprise-grade systems.
- 3+ years of experience managing managers and/or multiple engineering teams, demonstrating seniority in people leadership.
- Proven expertise in leading distributed or geographically separate teams, with success in remote collaboration and communication.
- Solid understanding of modern cloud-native architectures (e.g., Kubernetes, Microservices, CI/CD pipelines).
- Demonstrable experience in performance management, career planning, and implementing team development strategies that foster high engagement and low turnover.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and organizational concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Skills
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes principles and cloud-native orchestration.
- Experience in the Observability or DevOps space (e.g., APM, Logging, Tracing, Monitoring).
- Familiarity with operating high-scale SaaS products and maintaining team ownership.
- Experience with modern programming languages relevant to our platform (e.g., Java, Go, Python, C++).
- Base salary between 25,000- 33,000 PLN gross per month (we’ve listed a salary range for transparency, but if your experience and skills bring unique value, we’d still love to hear from you; please apply even if you’re outside the range).
