About AirOps

Today thousands of leading brands and agencies use AirOps to win the battle for attention with content that both humans and agents love.

We’re building the platform and profession that will empower a million marketers to become modern leaders — not spectators — as AI reshapes how brands reach their audiences.

We’re backed by awesome investors, including Unusual Ventures, Wing VC, Founder Collective, XFund, Village Global, and Alt Capital, and we’re building a world-class team with in-person hubs in San Francisco, New York, and Montevideo, Uruguay.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at AirOps, you’ll help design and deliver core features across our AI-powered platform. You’ll work across the stack—from crafting backend services in Ruby on Rails to building intuitive, performant interfaces with React.

In particular, this role will take ownership of a key initiative to expand and improve our integrations framework—making it easier for users to connect to the tools they already use and enabling new, powerful workflows. You’ll work closely with Product and CX to understand needs, prioritize capabilities, and deliver seamless, reliable integrations.

We’re looking for engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments, take pride in building high-quality products, and are motivated by the opportunity to make meaningful contributions in a collaborative and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack features across the AirOps platform

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define technical solutions that meet user and business needs

  • Write clean, scalable, and well-tested code in both frontend and backend systems

  • Review code, mentor teammates, and help uphold engineering best practices

  • Own and improve key parts of the application—from performance to architecture

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, data, and web technologies

  • Contribute to a strong culture of experimentation, iteration, and shipping fast

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience building production-ready software across the stack

  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails

  • Solid experience working with React

  • Experience with modern web development tools (e.g., TypeScript, Tailwind, Webpack, PostgreSQL, Redis)

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and system design principles

  • Experience building or maintaining third-party integrations is a plus

  • Product-minded: able to balance engineering quality with pragmatic trade-offs to move fast

  • Interest in or experience with Generative AI and related technologies

  • Demonstrated initiative and aptitude to make independent decisions and resolve complex challenges in a remote environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Nice to Have:
  • Experience working on AI/ML or LLM-based products

  • Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS, Heroku, Vercel, ECS)

  • Experience with observability tools like Datadog or Sentry

Our Guiding Principles
  1. Extreme Ownership

  2. Quality

  3. Curiosity and Play

  4. Make Our Customers Heroes

  5. Respectful Candor

Benefits
  • Equity in a fast-growing startup

  • Competitive benefits package tailored to your location

  • Flexible time off policy

  • Generous parental leave

  • A fun-loving and (just a bit) nerdy team that loves to move fast!
