As a Senior Software Engineer, you will analyze requirements, design and implement code, debug software, mentor team members, and contribute to code reviews. You will also improve code quality and build inter-team relationships.
Role Summary:
Magnet Forensics is expanding its Graykey AppLogic Team and seeking a self-motivated Senior Software Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment. This specific role will help drive the innovation of our extraction tools.

NOTE: Candidates must reside in The United States OR Canada.
Role Responsibilities:
- Analyze Requirements, break down tasks, estimate effort;
- Design and implement robust, performant, maintainable and testable code;
- Use unit testing to validate execution of technical designs;
- Debug complex software systems;
- Participate in code reviews;
- Train and Mentor other team members;
- Identify areas within the code base with room for improvement;
- Build strong inter-team relationships and communicate effectively;
- Perform other duties as assigned;
- Travel: 5%.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Python, C/C++ or Rust;
- Experience writing Unit Tests;
- Experience with GIT;
- Exposure to Agile Programing practices;
- Experience with Web Development frameworks.
Nice to Haves:
- Android/iOS system development;
- Exposure to Reverse Engineering;
- Experience Refactoring code.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).
- MIN: $126,000 - MID: $180,000 - MAX: $216,000 USD
- MIN: $111,300 - MID: $159,000 - MAX: $190,800 CAD
