SamCart is looking for an innovative, dedicated, and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Software Engineering team. In this role, you will design, implement, test, and release new features of our e-commerce product. Using modern tools and methodologies, you will leverage deep technical knowledge of object-oriented design to ensure simplicity, changeability, and longevity in our codebases. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team of Designers and SDETs to deliver sophisticated e-commerce systems at Internet scale.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy features across the application stack.
• Follow best practices like test-driven development, refactoring, and simple design.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and testers to ensure features achieve business goals and meet usability and experience standards.
• Pair effectively with other engineers to deliver high-quality code.
• Author technical documentation for workflows and processes.

Qualifications:

• Experience in full-stack software development leveraging front-end frameworks (Next.js, React, etc.) and back-end frameworks (Go, Laravel, Ruby on Rails, etc.) 
• Expert knowledge of multiple object-oriented programming languages (PHP, C#, Python, JavaScript, Java, Ruby, etc.)
• Professional approach to software craftsmanship with an unflinching commitment to the disciplines of test-driven development, refactoring, simple design, collaborative programming, and acceptance tests.
• Demonstrated skill in building reliable software systems incorporating fundamental design principles (design patterns, SOLID, etc.)
• Experience developing and deploying software in a containerized environment.
• At least 5 years of professional experience building software applications leveraging web application frameworks.
