In this role, you will directly work with key client stakeholders to define the business problems and determine solution requirements for our Value Based management application. You will be responsible for ensuring business value and communicating outcomes. You’ll be part of a dynamic, cross-functional agile team to architect, implement, test, and continuously deliver new features and products to our customers.

The Senior Software Engineer plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality assurance protocols for software systems. This individual diligently oversees the development, testing and debugging processes and is adept at crafting effective solutions. By investigating user feedback, they make pertinent adjustments or recommendations to rectify sophisticated software challenges. As a seasoned professional, this engineer contributes to shaping the department's strategy. They make informed decisions on moderately complex to intricate project components autonomously, demonstrating significant independence in their approach to assignments. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure
  • Experience leading a team and excellent communication skills.
  • Hands on Full stack development experience , Front – End: SPA Pattern (Angular, Angular JS), Middle tier: Web services, APIs (.net framework, .net core), Back end: RDBMS (SQL Server, DB2)
  • Development experience using Visual Studio, Azure Devops, GitHub
  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodology.
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), DevOps, Agile (Scrum), Object Oriented Principles, Design Patterns, and Continuous Improvement Processes
  • Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), Nuget Packages, Telemetry tools like Dynatrace AppMon and Dynatrace Managed, Package management tools like JFrog.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure / Knowledge of other front end patterns like MVC.
  • Working Knowledge of Azure (ASE, ASP, Azure SQL, ADF and fundamental infrastructure knowledge of Azure).
  • Exposure to GCP (App engine, Stackdriver, telemetry)
  • Exposure / knowledge of non-traditional databases like document databases, preferably MongoDB.
  • Exposure / Knowledge of ETL tools like Streamsets, Databricks.
  • Exposure / Knowledge of data streaming technologies like Kafka.

Work-At-Home Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$106,900 - $147,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
