Job Summary
The Senior Software Engineer works as a member of the software development team. Responsibilities include the development of Imprivata's OneSign client components, which provide Multifactor Authentication and Single Sign-On services for applications. The Senior Software Engineer will have knowledge of the Windows application and development and a proven record of delivering products that utilize the facilities of the Windows OS. This role leverages our own software and that of Imprivata's partners to bring an efficient and secure application experience to clinicians and providers.

This position offers a salary range of $152,800.00 to $168,950.00 (inclusive of variable compensation such as bonuses and incentives). Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop new OneSign features in the areas of security, authentication, single sign-on and healthcare workflow enablement. Our agent is used by thousands of clinicians all over the world.
- Design, code and test client-side components in C++ that deliver our entire client experience.
- Design and code unit and automated tests that allow manual testing to focus high risk areas.
- Assist QA in qualifying new vendor releases, including APIs, to determine ongoing compatibility with OneSign.
- Working in a scrum team model, be responsible for analyzing possible solutions, scoping, planning and delivering software.
- Ensure software is secure, performant, and maintainable.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends; recommend and adopt new tools and frameworks when appropriate.
- Contribute to project planning, estimation, and risk management activities.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience designing and building enterprise applications
- Strong C/C++ development and debugging skills with experience in Windows (Win32 APIs, COM/DCOM) and exposure to Linux.
- Proficient in integrating third-party APIs/SDKs and working with client-server architectures in enterprise environments.
- Familiar with source control (Perforce, Git) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Experienced in the full software development life cycle, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-expectation environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective in collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
