In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles
- 2+ years of experience with Apigee Hybrid including installation, configuration, and management
- 2+ years of experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Helm
- 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- 2+ years of experience with Continuous Improvement/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD
- 2+ years of experience with API Gateway concepts such as OAuth, JWT, and API security best practices
- 2+ years of experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
- 2+ years of experience in scripting with Bash, Python, or Go
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Experience with GitOps practices and tools such as Flux or ArgoCD
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio
- Apigee certification or relevant cloud certifications such as GCP or Kubernetes
- Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
- Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule
