About the Role:

CoreWeave is seeking a passionate and innovative Senior Software Engineer of Network Services to lead the architecture, scaling, and operations of our network services. You'll be tackling the complex challenges of building and operating world-class network services for the most demanding AI workloads on the planet. You will be focusing on achieving the highest levels of service quality, scalability and performance. You will also build comprehensive monitoring and alerting into our network services. You will work closely with your team to execute our network service roadmap, drive innovation, and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the CoreWeave Cloud Platform.

Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Service Implementation
  • Design and implement world class network services for large scale AI workloads
  • Optimize east-west and north-south traffic patterns to support AI/ML training, distributed compute, and customer workloads.
  • Leverage next-generation networking technologies (e.g., smart NICs, software-defined networking, programmable fabrics).
Operations & Reliability
  • Own the performance and uptime of CoreWeave’s network services, including proactive monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis.
  • Drive automation across service deployment, provisioning, and management.
Security & Compliance
  • Partner with InfoSec to implement network security policies, segmentation, and DDoS mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with data sovereignty and privacy regulations across network services.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience engineering and operating network services.
  • Deep understanding of software defined networking, routing, switching, peering, and distributed network design.
  • Proven experience scaling data center and cloud networks for high-throughput workloads.
  • Experience collaborating with open source communities.
  • Strong knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience offloading services into smart NICs.

Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, overlay networks, and service meshes.


Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $175,000 - $225,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position also includes a discretionary bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
