Taekus is a profitable fintech and travel startup building a next-generation premium banking and rewards ecosystem for affluent customers. With $70M in annual revenue and $3B+ in annual transaction volume, we’re entering a new stage of growth focused on scaling our core banking systems, rewards infrastructure, and customer-facing experiences.

We’re seeking a Mobile Software Engineer to help scale and maintain the Taekus Mobile App. In this role, you will own critical mobile features end-to-end, collaborating closely with product, design, backend, and platform engineers to deliver a polished, high-performance experience that reflects the Taekus brand. You’ll play a key role in translating complex financial and rewards workflows into intuitive, premium mobile experiences.

Join us as we tackle a $3.2T opportunity to redefine the super-premium financial services and rewards market—driving innovation beyond what’s existed since the inception of rewards credit cards.

Interview Process

Candidates must be able to travel to San Francisco, New York, Chicago, or Austin for an onsite interview. All required travel will be paid for by Taekus.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain core features of our iOS and Android mobile applications using React Native.

  • Own mobile feature development from technical design through implementation, testing, and release.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to translate requirements into intuitive, premium user experiences.

  • Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs and services, ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity.

  • Ensure high standards for mobile performance, quality, security, and responsiveness across devices.

  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, crashes, and production issues.

  • Contribute to mobile architecture, tooling, and technical standards as the mobile platform scales.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 6+ years of professional mobile engineering experience shipping consumer-facing applications.

  • Strong expertise in React Native and TypeScript.

  • Solid understanding of iOS and Android fundamentals, including build, deployment, and release processes.

  • Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs and backend services.

  • Strong grasp of mobile performance optimization, reliability, and UX best practices.

  • Comfort collaborating across the stack with backend and platform engineers when needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

You’d Love This Job If

  • You enjoy owning mobile features that customers rely on daily.

  • You want to be in a scaling startup that is experiencing exponential growth.

  • You’re excited by building foundational work and enjoy making an impact.

  • Traveling is in your DNA and you get to apply your passion into your work.

  • You thrive in growing high-caliber teams and want to influence both technical and strategic direction.
