Why do we need you? Well, we are looking for a Senior Social Media Marketing Manager who will bring their expert knowledge in social media trends, strategies, and tools. You will report to the Manager of Brand + Design, and will be responsible for collaborating across departments throughout the company to create and share social campaigns that amplify our brand message, engage our audience, and further establish Calendly as a leader in scheduling and productivity.
As Calendly’s Senior Social Media Manager, you’ll own Calendly’s social media and influencer strategy, engaging with countless customers, influencers, employees and other brand advocates across our channels — as well as help amplify Calendly’s brand message across these creators’ own channels.
On a typical day, you will be working on:- Own and execute Calendly’s social media strategy to support organizational objectives and initiatives via daily customer engagement, content creation, and amplification
- Develop and manage the full influencer strategy — from micro to macro creators — across relevant verticals
- Establish monitoring best practices - Address customers’ questions and complaints, and work with the customer support team to escalate and resolve customers’ issues
- Drive Calendly’s employee engagement program, encouraging and educating Calendly employees on best practices, industry trends, and upcoming developments so they can build their personal brands while amplifying Calendly’s brand message
- Capture new audiences — e.g., prospects, customers, partners and brand advocates — grow followers and fans, update social media pages, distribute new video and campaign media of marketing activities for placement on the web, social networking sites, and community-driven sites and platforms
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, emerging technologies, and best practices in social media and influencer engagement to stay ahead of the curve, and share knowledge with the team
- Report on campaign performance and engagement related to social content
- Collaborate on production of various short-form content types (videos, social media posts, talk tracks) to enable various creators to share Calendly’s brand message across various channels with various audiences
- Use software such as Asana, Sprout Social, Tagger, and other tools necessary for planning, publishing, promoting, and reporting on high-performing content
- 6+ years of hands-on social media marketing experience — LinkedIn and crisis communications experience are pluses
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills — you’ll be drafting and reviewing LOTS of social copy
- A willingness to get in front of the camera to create engaging social content
- Plenty of organizational and resourceful initiative, with the ability to plan, prioritize, execute, and measure multiple marketing campaigns at once
- Demonstrated success in establishing or enhancing social media strategies
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, and the ability to effectively (and remotely!) communicate with, influence, and motivate a wide variety of people at all levels of the organization
- A strong creative instinct to develop innovative, platform-native content that stands out in crowded social feeds
- A self starter - You have a clear perspective and have a proclivity towards taking action rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Enthusiasm and a positive, "can-do" attitude
- The attitude that feedback is a gift — you’re as comfortable receiving as giving feedback on content
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:
- Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
- Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
- Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2
