About the client
Our client is a Series A startup revolutionizing independent retail with a zero-inventory supply chain. Their platform connects excess inventory to global buyers, integrating with major e-commerce platforms like Walmart, eBay, Target, and Poshmark. By reducing waste and preventing overproduction, they drive sustainability while optimizing inventory management.
About the role
As a part-time Senior Shopify Expert, you’ll design, implement, and maintain integrations and data pipelines within the Shopify ecosystem. You'll enhance retail operations, ensuring seamless connectivity between platforms and supporting full-stack development initiatives.
POS System Integrations: Build and maintain integrations with Shopify POS and other POS systems.
Automated Data Pipelines: Develop pipelines to sync inventory and sales data across platforms.
Microchannel Development: Enhance the Shopify ecosystem with new features.
Full-Stack Development: Support front-end and back-end initiatives.
API Integrations: Manage third-party API connections for inventory and order management.
Troubleshooting & Optimization: Monitor performance, resolve issues, and improve efficiency.
Collaboration & Mentorship: Work cross-functionally and mentor junior team members.
What you need to succeed
Availability to work 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
Deep knowledge of Shopify APIs, Liquid templates, and Shopify POS.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and Node.js.
Experience integrating POS systems with eCommerce platforms.
API & Data Integration: Strong experience with RESTful APIs and data pipelines.
Strong debugging skills and attention to detail.
Collaboration & Communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and explain technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Shopify Plus and enterprise-level integrations.
Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, and hosting services.
Experience managing development projects for timely delivery.
