Position Overview

ZELIS is seeking a Senior SDET with deep expertise in test automation within the .NET technology stack. This is a hands-on, highly technical role that requires strong automation skills, strategic alignment, and a drive for quality and efficiency across the software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks aligned with application architecture.

  • Evaluate and implement new automation tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve quality and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers to promote shift-left testing and seamless automation in CI/CD pipelines.

  • Refactor and optimize regression test pipelines to improve execution speed, reliability, and infrastructure cost.

  • Review requirements, technical specifications, and architecture documents to ensure comprehensive automated test coverage.

  • Leverage Azure DevOps (ADO), Grafana, and open-source tools to build dashboards and enable real-time QA status reporting.

  • Build, maintain, and manage synthetic test data generation pipelines and tools to support automated test scenarios.

  • Conduct performance testing and analysis using appropriate tools (e.g., JMeter), providing actionable insights (is a Plus and not mandatory).

  • Ensure test automation solutions adhere to security, compliance, and coding standards.

  • Continuously assess the health of automated test suites and proactively address flakiness, gaps, or redundancy.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and quality goals as a SDET champion within the team.

What You’ll Bring to Zelis:

  • Must have programming skills in .NET/C# and experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, RestSharp, SpecFlow (or equivalent BDD tools), and JMeter (Optional).

  • Experience and understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps pipelines using Azure DevOps for test management and integration.

  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Virtual Machines, and test orchestration tools such as Selenium Grid.

  • Experience with AI/ML-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve coding and automation efficiency.

  • Experience modeling data schemas and using synthetic test data generation tools to create realistic test datasets.

  • Strong background in performance testing, analysis, and reporting (Optional).

  • Working experience with Jira, Confluence, and agile development environments.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative and drive improvements independently.

  • Minimum of 5 years of SDET experience, ideally in the healthcare industry

  • Ability to provide technical guidance to peers and influence automation best practices across the team.

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree preferred.

Location and Workplace Flexibility

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

Base Salary Range

$79,000.00 - $105,000.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
