About the teamThe B2B Frontline Authority Systems Technology Team (FAST) within Zillow’s Revenue Engineering organization builds and maintains Salesforce and related solutions to empower our sales and service operators across multiple lines of business. This team drives Zillow’s strategic vision to unify frontline systems and collaborates across business lines to optimize sales and service processes, directly impacting Zillow’s growth and operational efficiency.

About the role

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of complex Salesforce applications and integrations. Your work will help unify Zillow’s frontline systems, leverage AI capabilities, and accelerate top-line growth by improving sales processes and pipeline efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive technical excellence, and play a key role in delivering innovative solutions that support Zillow’s business objectives.

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, You Will Get To:

  • Design and implement scalable Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).

  • Architect and deliver integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and External Services.

  • Lead adoption of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and best practices for code quality.

  • Manage complex security models and oversee data migrations and ETL processes.

  • Maintain and enhance declarative automations (Flows, Process Builder) as part of hybrid development.

  • Collaborate with BI and Platform teams on data architecture and strategy.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and maintain runbooks/incident response plans.

  • Mentor junior developers, lead technical workshops, and document system architecture.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $158,200.00 - $252,800.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 7+ years of Salesforce development experience in complex, enterprise environments.

  • Deep expertise in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce integrations.

  • Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI), and automated testing.

  • Strong understanding of security best practices, data modeling, and governor limits.

  • Experience with middleware/integration platforms and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical direction.

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II certifications (or equivalent experience) preferred.

  • Exposure to Einstein Analytics/Tableau CRM and AI-driven features is a plus.
