About the Role

The Senior Salesforce Developer, reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, is a key member of Kicksaw’s Delivery team responsible for designing, developing, and deploying custom Salesforce solutions that solve complex business problems. You’ll partner closely with client stakeholders, bringing technical expertise, clear communication, and scalable solutions to every engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building high-quality, innovative solutions and enjoys mentoring others while staying hands-on with development.

This position is a full-time contract-to-hire role through December 31, 2025, and is 100% remote. Compensation ranges from $58 to $65 USD per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex classes, triggers, and Flows.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, iPaaS).
  • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, propose solutions, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Uphold coding standards, perform code reviews, and enforce best practices.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements through deployment.
  • Develop and maintain API integrations using MuleSoft (preferred) or comparable platforms.
  • Design and deploy Python cloud functions in AWS or Azure environments.
  • Lead technical client discovery calls, translating business needs into technical solutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, with expertise in LWC, Apex, and
    integrations.
  • Salesforce certifications required:
    • Platform Developer I (PD1)
    • Platform Developer II (PD2)
    • JavaScript Developer I
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security, sharing models, and governor limits.
  • Proven success in client-facing roles with strong communication skills.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with middleware/iPaaS tools (MuleSoft preferred; Boomi or others also considered).
  • Ability to balance technical leadership with hands-on development.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Copado, Gearset, GitHub, etc.).
  • Exposure to healthcare, life sciences, or large-scale enterprise implementations.
  • Additional Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Architect-level, etc.).
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer or similar integration platform experience (Workato, Boomi,
    Jitterbit).
  • Python development experience in AWS or Azure (Lambdas, Function Apps).
