The Opportunity
Drive the success of the Voluntary Sales Executives (VSEs) and Public Sector Account Executives (PSAEs) by delivering high impact sales support across prospecting, analytics, and operational excellence. In this role, you help fuel sales growth by driving prospecting strategy, supporting RFP development, providing actionable data insights and benchmarking, and maintaining high quality data within Salesforce and other systems.
You'll collaborate closely with VSEs, AEs, SSDs, Finance, Proposals, and other cross functional partners to uncover new logo opportunities, strengthen market visibility, enhance renewal and new sales efforts, and advance strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending analysis, strategy, and collaboration to directly influence sales performance and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting & Market Strategy:
Maintain deep understanding of the National Accounts prospect universe; research, evaluate, and prioritize VSE prospects using Salesforce and related tools; monitor market news, M&A activity, and industry recognition to identify new opportunities; partner with Marketing to support prospecting strategies and new‑logo growth. - Sales Analytics, Reporting & Data Integrity:
Ensure accurate tagging and classification of all sales reports and Public Sector records; compile and analyze Salesforce data to guide PSAE and VSE strategy; maintain data integrity across all prospect information; conduct competitive analysis and provide data‑driven insights; support proposal teams with Public Sector and supplier diversity data and maintain proposal database accuracy. - Sales Support & Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Support first‑sale initiatives, RFP research, and campaign development; collaborate with product, marketing, finance, and compensation teams on sales initiatives, RFPs, and compensation accuracy; perform pre‑RFP intel gathering (5500s, benefit booklets, past RFPs, plan designs); deliver benchmarking, market share data, customer insights, and RFP history; manage state affidavit filings; assist with prospect and broker meeting preparation and follow‑up; and support tracking of lobbyist retainers and payments. - Operational Excellence & Leadership:
Support Salesforce cleanup and account maintenance with CU Sales Support Directors; lead or contribute to special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in related fields
- Proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint and Word; ability to learn new systems (such as RelPro, Sales Navigator, etc)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels in support of partner relationships across National Accounts and Regional Market as well as key partners.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
