Join our dynamic team as a Senior Sales Engineer where you will provide vital technical support to our sales team during pre-sales and customer expansion activities. You’ll act as the go-to technical resource for security assessments, RFPs, and pilot implementations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions. Your insights will shape product strategies, ensuring our offerings align with market needs and customer feedback.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support during pre-sales by answering questions, conducting demos, and addressing RFPs and security assessments.
  • Identify customer needs and propose relevant products or services to align with their goals.
  • Gain customer trust by demonstrating how our solutions improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and save time.
  • Establish strong customer relationships to understand current and future requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge by attending workshops, networking, and staying abreast of industry developments.
  • Act as a liaison between sales, product, engineering, EMR, compliance, and legal teams to ensure seamless communication and deal progression.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years in technical pre-sales roles.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to sell based on customer needs.
  • Strong presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in general programming and requirements analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must live within a reasonable distance of a major airport to accommodate frequent travel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience with SQL, JSON, JQ, Python, Snowflake, AWS, HL7.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athena) and HIPAA security protocols.
  • Background knowledge of genetic testing, NGS, and bioinformatic analysis (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts simply and effectively.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Duties are performed in an office setting and/or in the field.
  • Requires frequent use of a computer keyboard, telephone communication, and reading printed material.
  • May involve working outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends) as needed.
  • Up to 50% travel required to meet with customers and team members.
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
