About Bonfy.ai

Bonfy.ai is an early-stage cybersecurity startup redefining content security for the age of AI. Our SaaS platform helps enterprises secure unstructured content, prevent PII and IP leakage, and enforce compliance policies across AI-generated and human-created content. By leveraging advanced, patent-pending AI techniques, we empower enterprises to reduce cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory risks at scale.

We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer—a trusted technical partner for enterprise customers and the technical face of our company.

Why This Role Matters

AI and generative technologies are transforming industries but also creating data security challenges that legacy tools cannot solve. CISOs and compliance leaders need solutions that integrate into their ecosystems (Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Slack, etc.), support global regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA), and work in multi-channel environments.

Our Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in showing how Bonfy.ai delivers value: not just through demos, but by building trust, mapping solutions to real customer pain points, and guiding technical validation in proofs of value (POVs) and bake-offs.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the technical expert throughout the sales cycle, from discovery calls to solution presentations, POVs, and RFP responses.

  • Engage with CISOs, security, data/AI, and compliance teams to understand requirements and position Bonfy.ai against customer needs and competitive offerings.

  • Deliver tailored demos: highlighting key capabilities and use cases that address customer pain points and goals, and positioning the company in the broader cybersecurity landscape.

  • Lead proofs of value (POVs) and competitive evaluations, ensuring successful implementation, troubleshooting, and demonstrating measurable outcomes.

  • Explain Bonfy.ai’s capabilities in terms of key pain points around AI governance, data security program goals, and compliance requirements.

  • Provide consultative guidance on data security and compliance, including AI governance, PII and sensitive data handling, data boundaries, and multi-ecosystem environments.

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams, relaying customer feedback to shape roadmap priorities.

  • Support marketing and sales with technical collateral, FAQs, and positioning for enterprise buyers

What We’re Looking For
  • 5–10 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Pre-Sales Consultant, with at least 2–3 years in data security or data compliance domains.

  • Strong grasp of data security concepts: DLP, DSPM, compliance frameworks (NIST CSF, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).

  • Strong familiarity with enterprise ecosystems and integrations (Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Slack, AWS).

  • Consultative selling skills: ability to gather requirements, position solutions, and build trust with CISOs and executives—not just run demos.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; proven ability to translate technical detail into business value.

  • Comfort with configuring enterprise SaaS platforms (connectors, policies, automation, dashboards). No coding required, but must understand logical flows, risk modeling, and how to tailor product knobs to customer needs.

  • Startup mindset—comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and shaping go-to-market processes.

Why Join Us?
  • Be among our first Sales Engineers at a high-growth startup, shaping our technical sales playbook.

  • Work at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, tackling challenges no legacy solution can address.

  • Direct access to leadership and influence over product roadmap based on real-world customer insights.

  • Competitive compensation, including equity.
