About the Role
This Senior Sales Commissions Analyst owns the administration, execution, and continuous improvement of sales compensation operations, including CaptivateIQ configuration, plan logic design, data and crediting integrity, and financial/audit support. This role translates compensation strategy into scalable system logic and reliable operational processes that ensure accuracy, control, and a strong participant experience.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end CaptivateIQ administration, including commission plan configuration, logic design, and system optimization.
Build and maintain complex compensation plan logic, including draws (recoverable/non-recoverable), ramp schedules, tiered accelerators, and renewal/expansion crediting.
Own and execute monthly commission calculations within CaptivateIQ, ensuring accuracy through robust validation, reconciliation, and automated controls.
Translate compensation plan design into scalable system logic and calculations.
Partner with Finance and Accounting on monthly accruals, quarter-end true-ups, forecasting and financial close support by ensuring commission data is accurate, traceable, and audit-ready.
Align commission processes with commission expense policies and accounting requirements through partnership with Accounting.
Own crediting accuracy and data integrity by identifying discrepancies across Salesforce, billing and CaptivateIQ systems and performing root-cause analysis across data feeds, crediting logic, and system configuration.
Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales and RevOps, providing clarity on compensation plans, attainment, and earnings while ensuring alignment between plan design and system logic
Build and maintain reporting and analytics that provide insights into compensation performance, plan effectiveness, and payout trends to support Sales, Finance, and RevOps decision-making.
Own calculation, logic, and data feed architecture within CaptivateIQ, including the validation, audit, and reconciliation frameworks that support accuracy and control.
Partner with RevOps and Data teams to improve upstream data quality and system integrations.
Act as the primary escalation point for complex commission and crediting issues.
Who You Are
Required: direct, hands-on CaptivateIQ administration experience, including building and maintaining calculations, crediting logic, data models/feeds, workflows, and configuration changes in a production environment
Understanding of corporate governance policies as they apply to commissions
Excellent Excel proficiency for reconciliation, modeling and data analysis
Salesforce proficiency required
Ability to validate and reconcile data across CRM, billing, HRIS, and compensation systems
Ability to translate compensation plan design into scalable system logic
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new systems and improve compensation statements, tools, reporting and field-facing analytical solutions
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of experience in Sales Compensation Administration, RevOps, Finance Operations, or a similar function
Proven hands-on experience building, administering and maintaining compensation plans in CaptivateIQ (required)
Experience with complex commission structures including draws, ramps, accelerators, renewals, and related crediting logic
Experience troubleshooting data, logic, and calculation discrepancies
Strong Excel and Salesforce fluency
Ability to partner cross-functionally with senior leaders across Sales, Finance, Accounting, and RevOps
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
Experience identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities to improve calculation accuracy, auditability, scalability, and efficiency
Ability to communicate complex compensation logic, exceptions, and payout outcomes clearly to Sales, Finance, and leadership stakeholders
Experience supporting commission accruals, audit requests, SOX-like controls, or close processes

The base salary range for this job family is 58,000 to 205,000 USD annually. This range reflects the base pay the company reasonably expects to offer for this position, aligned to the broader job family base pay structure. Actual base pay may vary based on skills, experience, and location, including job family level. In addition to base pay, Arctic Wolf offers variable incentive compensation, new hire equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
