About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant in Fraud Risk Analytics as part of Corporate Risk. The team is responsible in building centralized framework of managing fraud losses across customer lifecycle driving better fraud mitigation, setting a higher bar on controls and consistency across LOBs and providing speed to market in identification and mitigation of fraud attacks through use of sophisticated analytical tools and models. The team is expected to evolve from MIS providers to leading strategy and policy recommendations as well as conduct complex graph link analysis allowing us to effectively manage first and third-party fraud losses.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong analyst to be part of this team. Incumbent is expected to understand technical skills including programming languages like SAS/SQL. He/she should be able to able to develop MIS reports, analyze trending data and share meaningful insights with senior management and stakeholders. In long run, this team is expected to evolve to lead advanced analytics like graph link analysis, ML models etc.

$100,000.00 - $179,000.00

In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives, and delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting, and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics
- Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models
- Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance
- Resolve data, production, business modeling, and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals
- Lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staff
- Partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies
- 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of direct experience in risk management
- Expertise in few programming and statistical packages - SAS, SQL, VBA, Macros, R, Python, E-miner, Tableau and/or SAS VA
- Demonstrated analytics experience particularly focused on using data to identify areas of opportunity within banking products
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced expertise in MS office tools including Excel and PowerPoint
- A strong understanding of deposit banking products with the ability to recognize vulnerabilities within the utilization and change of those products
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience interfacing with all levels of stakeholders across all three lines of defense
- Strategic thinker that excels in business and risk acumen
- Ability to develop and manage business relationships while interacting with all levels of an organization
