📍Location
We’re fully remote and typically welcome candidates from anywhere in the US. However, for this specific position, we are ideally looking for candidates located in the NYC area to support some local teams.

💼 Role Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Recruiter for a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. You will own and execute full-cycle recruiting, driving our rapid growth by attracting top-tier talent for both our Technical and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams. You will be a key strategic partner to our hiring managers, supporting a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a startup culture and is excited to help scale a world-class engineering and commercial organization. You will report to the Head of People and Talent, and collaborate closely with all functions of the business.

🛠️ Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a diverse portfolio of roles, with a focus on sourcing, screening, and closing candidates for Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, defining job requirements, developing robust recruiting strategies, and providing market insights to ensure competitive hiring.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure every candidate has a positive, professional, and engaging experience, maintaining Cortex's reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements to our recruiting processes and tools to increase efficiency, quality of hire, and scalability in a high-growth environment.
  • Sourcing & Talent Mapping: Develop creative and targeted sourcing strategies to build strong pipelines for hard-to-fill technical roles and key GTM positions.

✔️Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 2 years in a high-growth startup or fast-paced technology company.
  • Proven track record of successfully hiring for both technical roles (e.g., Software Engineers, Product Managers) and Go-to-Market roles (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Customer Success).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex hiring needs simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality.
  • Expert-level proficiency with modern recruiting tools 
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

💰 Compensation

  • Starting Target Salary: $145k to $165k (paid at monthly rate, prorated for 6 months)

*Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be prorated for 6 months, paid on a monthly schedule.
