Senior Project Manager

The Engagement Delivery Manager (EDM) serves as the central point of coordination and accountability for client engagements. This role is responsible for overseeing all project management, financial, operational, and stakeholder communication aspects of assigned engagements.

The EDM ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards and strong client relationships. Acting as the bridge between client stakeholders, technical delivery teams, and internal leadership, the Engagement Delivery Manager ensures seamless coordination, proactive risk management, and effective communication across all parties.

Key Responsibilities

Engagement & Project Management

  • Own end-to-end engagement governance and delivery oversight.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure deliverables meet agreed scope, quality standards, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence.
  • Drive issue resolution and escalate when necessary to ensure delivery continuity.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders.
  • Lead regular status meetings, steering committees, and executive reporting.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely reporting on progress, risks, issues, and financial status.
  • Build trusted relationships with client sponsors and key stakeholders.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Oversee engagement financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Manage timesheet tracking, resource utilization, and billing accuracy with internal teams.
  • Coordinate invoicing processes and ensure revenue recognition aligns with contractual agreements.
  • Monitor margins and proactively address financial risks or variances.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks.
  • Maintain risk and issue logs and ensure mitigation plans are executed.
  • Ensure timely resolution of delivery challenges.
  • Escalate critical issues to appropriate internal leadership when required.

Internal Coordination & Governance

  • Serve as the central liaison between client stakeholders and internal technical teams.
  • Ensure technical teams are aligned with client expectations and contractual commitments.
  • Coordinate closely with internal Delivery Management and relevant Centers of Excellence (COI teams).
  • Ensure internal communication flows effectively across leadership, technical, and support teams.

Team & Delivery Oversight

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, including consultants, engineers, architects, and analysts.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between onshore, offshore, and hybrid teams.
  • Support resource planning, onboarding, and capacity management across the engagement lifecycle.
  • Monitor technical team output, productivity, and deliverable quality.
  • Support delivery teams in removing blockers and optimizing performance.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project or engagement management within a technology consulting environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT delivery models (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and ability to work with Global teams (India, East Europe etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience managing client-facing engagements with financial accountability.
  • Experience with project management tools and financial tracking systems.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred, not required.
