UL Solutions is looking for a Senior Project Manager to support impactful projects and transactions within our Renewables Advisory team in EMEA.
The role requires main expertise in Solar PV and BESS but could handle multi technology transactions in some cases including onshore wind.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the success of renewable energy initiatives by leading and executing complex due diligence projects including solar PV, BESS and onshore wind technologies. Being a reference Project Manager for the local Market and support our business development initiatives in teh candidate country (Italy or Poland) and across the region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the Due Diligence team, you manager and execute Independent Engineering and Technical Advisory services to support the financing, sale, or acquisition of renewable energy technologies with focus on solar PV and BESS and ambition to grow towards transactions including other technologies such as onshore wind.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the Due Diligence team, you manager and execute Independent Engineering and Technical Advisory services to support the financing, sale, or acquisition of renewable energy technologies with focus on solar PV and BESS and ambition to grow towards transactions including other technologies such as onshore wind.
- Lead and execute technical due diligence solar PV, and BESS projects, covering site assessments, technology reviews, design evaluations, contract analysis, and financial modeling review among others.
- Produce comprehensive TDD reports, integrating inputs from multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring consistency and high-quality standards across all sections.
- Conduct site visits as required compiling reports to assess progress against specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- Work with internal resources, associate project managers, project managers, as well as sub-consultants. Ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget.
- Support on the development of new procedures and processed in the team.
- Timely and efficient completion of high-quality reports.
- Serve as primary client interface, attending meetings, fostering relationships, and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs and supporting the business development team on this regard.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 8 years of experience working in renewable energies including due diligence, development, construction, operations, and M&A transactions.
- Expertise in Solar PV and BESS Projects
- Local expertise on the Italian or Polish market and general renewable dynamics.
- Knowledge on different battery technologies, markets, revenue mechanisms and use cases would be required.
- Good understanding of different battery technology with experience in the review of main related equipment (PCS, BMS, battery cells, etc. as well as other main equipment in the BOS of a BESS Project).
- Good understanding on typical KPIs for solar PV and storage high-level understanding of energy modelling for solar PV projects.
- Knowledge on Italian regulation, such as permitting, grid connection processes or electricity markets would be highly considered.
- Resilient and adaptable team player, capable of managing multiple complex projects under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement.
- At least bachelors-level education and core competence in a relevant field, e.g., mechanical, civil or electrical engineering, or environmental engineering.
- Master in Renewable Energy related aspects.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and successfully manage multiple complicated projects.
- Proficiency in English and/or Italian/Polish
