Who You Are

Reporting to the Director, International Benefits, the Senior Program Manager, International will be responsible for building the systems, teams, and capabilities needed for Justworks International to execute on its strategy with increasing confidence, speed, and efficiency as we scale. They will also play a key role in designing the human systems that connect all of Justworks to our strategy and drive an empowered, high-performance culture. The right candidate for this role will combine skills in strategic planning, program & project management, communications, and systems thinking to help International scale and execute on our highest priority initiatives.

In this role, you will lead efforts to identify and address challenges, collaborating with International Leadership and other business leaders to develop and implement solutions end to end. The position demands a strong commitment to problem-solving, process optimization, and business expansion through analytical and managerial skills, along with a readiness to innovate and challenge norms. We seek a candidate who is creative, optimistic, resilient, and passionate about their work. The ideal candidate approaches challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset—proactively identifying opportunities, taking ownership, and driving solutions with autonomy. Your Success ProfileWhat You Will Work On
  • Partner with the Director, International Benefits and International leadership team to evolve and run the Benefits operating system and cadence, including how we communicate our strategy and execute it effectively across the company
  • Work with the executive leadership to ensure the organization sets clear priorities, effectively allocates resources, and accelerates speed of execution 
  • Continuously run how the team executes towards goals and hold individuals accountable for driving results
  • Identify and own special, ad hoc critical projects or initiatives that directly support the Director, International Benefits and the broader executive team and drive solutions to address challenges with autonomy 
  • Develop the systems, capabilities, reporting, and practices necessary to accelerate execution across a wide set of decentralized teams 
  • Build partnerships across the business with key stakeholders in International and in the core business to more effectively get our work done and bridge gaps between International and core
  • Function as a cross-functional leader to ensure International’s strategic priorities are aligned with initiatives at the Division and Department-level
  • Build a high-performing execution team that drives the delivery of high-priority initiatives
  • Partner with the Director, International Benefits and People team to build the human systems that reinforce a high-performing organization
  • Design and build the systems that define how we work and make decisions as a company, and unlock the potential of our employees

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience, ideally in program/project management, entrepreneurship, strategy operations, and/or consulting
  • 1-2 years of prior management or leadership experience highly preferred
  • Record of exceptional performance and demonstrated excellence in leadership of cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to influence, develop productive working relationships with executives, and successfully deliver strategic and high-impact initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Passionate about solving complex problems. Will rely on business acumen, strategic mindset, systems thinking, and underlying data to help steer conversations and decision-making
  • Strong sense of ownership, ability to proactively remove obstacles, and willingness to go above and beyond to chase down loose ends that lead to outstanding results
  • Focus on results and outcome, not just process. Have experience establishing processes that are appropriate and effective
  • Creative problem solver, effective negotiator, and results-oriented team player
  • Unquestionable professional ethics, strong judgment, trustworthiness, and commitment to excellence

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $142,500.00 - $156,750.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
