Program Managers are the face of our education projects and solutions, responsible for managing relationships with education leaders at the district and state level and working closely with the PCG teams responsible for implementing and supporting our services and solutions. The Program Manager is a key advisor and thought partner to clients, playing a consultative role in delivering and shaping the work we do to help districts and states to continuously improve education service delivery, compliance, and outcomes for students.
Program Managers will focus their time and energy to help states and schools ensure compliance, The successful candidate will provide local leadership, vision, and direction to a team of educators and functional teams who implement and support PCG projects and technologies. This position occasionally requires meeting onsite with clients and participating in PCG events as needed, but is mostly remote. The portfolio of projects for this Program Manager are within the northeast United States and requires the successful candidate to reside in that region.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership, vision, and daily leadership in the design and delivery of industry leading special education technologies and professional services across a focused portfolio of clients and services;

  • Lead the development and fulfilment of project team goals related to the design and delivery of professional development and technical assistance in support of PCG’s solutions (e.g., EDPlan) and other related client services;

  • Provide insight and guidance to PCG staff members and clients in leveraging data to improve policies, programs and instructional/service delivery in schools and districts; and

  • Lead the creation and maintenance of a regional product roadmap and provide strategic direction on the prioritization, development and delivery of web-based solutions in collaboration with peers and stakeholder groups.

  • Train and coach PCG team members in the topics and issues related to education compliance, best practice in instruction/service delivery, PCG solutions, and policy - continually keeping staff members up to speed on current trends across the nation and assigned regional territory;

  • Participate in the development and dissemination of relevant white papers, reports, guidance documents, procedure manuals, training materials, and other written materials for clients and the firm;

  • Advise and support PCG staff members and clients in PCG'S delivery of client business operations and policy reviews;

  • Support business development activities across a specific region, in close partnership with colleagues, identifying opportunities to further help schools, participating and leading development of proposals, demonstrations, strategic client conversations

  • Actively participate in firm-wide initiatives and national conferences, sharing best practices, strategies, and helping position PCG as the premier education solutions provider

  • Prepare higher level executive reports for Managers and Senior Staff

  • Provide after-hours support and travel as required

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to organize and plan work efficiently within set time limits

  • Excellent ability to effectively communicate project status, issues, and information to project teams, development staff, and clients

  • Strong Microsoft Office applications skills (preferably with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)

  • Must exhibit a consultative mindset and a positive, can-do attitude in tackling complex and persistent problems affecting schools and communities;

  • Must exhibit a working knowledge of PCG's EDPlan solution or similar web-based special education software in supporting special education delivery in diverse school settings.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master's Degree preferred or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years of experience managing complex, multi-year projects.

    As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $104,000-$145,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

    Compensation:

    Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
