Job Duties and Responsibilities

This role addresses the challenge of orchestrating large-scale software delivery within a complex, multi-stakeholder broadcast environment where legacy systems and modern digital requirements intersect. The successful candidate will streamline cross-functional communication to eliminate bottlenecks between engineering, product, and operations, ensuring that strategic roadmaps translate into high-quality customer experiences. By navigating high-stakes ambiguity and technical dependencies, the Senior Program Manager secures the successful execution of critical initiatives that define the future of the DISH platform.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives)
  • Deliver highly complex software programs from intake to final launch by synchronizing Agile workflows across global development teams
  • Drive departmental OKRs by aligning portfolio roadmaps with executive business objectives and measurable customer experience outcomes
  • Maintain program health through proactive risk mitigation strategies and data-driven reporting within Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  • Integrate AI-driven project management tools to automate status reporting, predict delivery bottlenecks, and optimize resource allocation
  • Foster a culture of delivery excellence by mentoring cross-functional leads in UX, QA, and Engineering on refined Agile best practices
  • Resolve technical impediments and defect backlogs by facilitating high-level problem-solving sessions across the full SDLC

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)
  • Extensive experience leading high-stakes technical transformations and software delivery within the streaming media or telecommunications industry
  • Advanced proficiency in orchestrating Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) to manage multi-million dollar software portfolios
  • Deep technical understanding of video distribution architectures, including content rights, encoding, and DRM systems
  • High-level AI literacy, specifically in applying generative and predictive AI tools to enhance program documentation and workflow efficiency
  • Superior influence and negotiation skills to drive consensus among diverse executive and technical stakeholders without direct authority
  • Proven ability to navigate complex, ambiguous IT environments while making data-informed decisions that impact global operations

Additional Qualifications
  • Advanced degrees such as an MBA or Master's in Computer Science or a related field
  • Professional certifications including PMP, PgMP, CSM, or equivalent industry credentials
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native projects (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and microservices architectures
  • History of managing distributed development environments and global teams

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum Experience: 4+ years of experience in program management
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • Expert-level usage of Atlassian Jira and Confluence for project tracking
    • Deep working knowledge of SDLC within Agile or hybrid environments
    • Technical program delivery for streaming video or telecommunications platforms

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
