Job Overview

We are looking for a senior designer with 5+ years’ experience in advertising, marketing, or marketing communications. You will design layouts, create icons and graphics, source images, photoshop retouching, create comp layouts, implement revisions, and concept on campaigns for a variety of clients in the life science, pharma and healthcare markets. Relevant experience, a background in B2B, and/or an ability to quickly decipher marketing assignments for complex clients is required.

Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Partner with Senior Art Directors and/or Copywriters to execute layout design, make content and design revisions and recommendations, and concept campaign/project ideas for various clients
  • Lead design projects from concept phase through success completion
  • Translate existing and emerging concepts into actual brand and/or product deliverables
  • Presents ideas, research and trends during creative meetings with both internal and external teams
  • Advises designers and junior designers through project deliverables
  • Design in a variety of styles and remain current on industry trends and technology
  • Create and execute ideas for digital and print marketing materials, including websites, presentations, brochures, promotional videos, conference and event themes/booths, and brand/product positioning and messaging decks
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and timely follow-through on work
  • Demonstrate passion for our clients’ business and creative product
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD
  • Experience designing in PowerPoint that follow brand guidelines and provide graphic support and clean-up work for new business presentations.
  • Understand and apply brand goals, positioning, and market conditions to the work
  • Present work to internal teams and able to explain design direction and choices.
  • Incorporate ideas and make revisions in response to the feedback from your supervisors, account team and clients
  • Work collaboratively with creative leads, account team and project management to deliver work at a high level
  • Be responsible for monitoring and follow-through of work on all assigned projects within established timelines
Qualifications and Skills
  • 5-7 years of related work experience in advertising, marketing, or B2B marketing either with a brand or digital agency or at a healthcare pharmaceutical agency
  • The ability to write skillfully across multiple channels, including print(Sales Brochures, Print Ads, Infographics), online video, and digital (websites, online banners, social media, etc.)
  • Strong conceptual skills, as demonstrated by your portfolio of work
  • The ability to dive into complex science and technologies and glean key ideas and information to convey to target audiences that meet the objective
  • Understanding of and expertise in pharma copy requirements: claims, references, research, and copy that meets the requirements of the FDA and client med/reg/legal review
  • An understanding of agency and creative collaboration processes
  • Ability to present and sell an idea to internal teams and clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Suite tools

As required by law in this state, the estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 USD and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At CG Life, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program, subject to the rules governing the plan. CG Life offers a variety of benefits, including health benefits, 401K retirement with a generous company match and immediate vesting, and flexible time off.
