The Senior Product Marketer supports the entire Go-To-Market strategy of the CDK Data Insights product line. As the Senior Product Marketer, one will be the critical connection point between product, sales, marketing, and customer. In this role, the Senior Product Marketer helps lead product messaging and positioning, content, market evangelism, competitive intelligence, and enablement strategy for product, marketing, and sales effectiveness to optimize revenue. Core responsibilities include [not limited to]: executing on the go-to-market strategy, voice of customer, influencing product strategy, driving integrated marketing programs, commercialization, sales enablement, and defining market requirements. 

The Senior Product Marketer is the subject matter expert in product positioning, target market and value proposition. As the Senior Product Marketer, one will bring strong leadership, communication, partnering and analytical skills to this high-performing team, and subject matter expert in articulating the CDK Data Insights vision. This individual possesses a unique blend of business, technical and sales savvy; a big-picture perspective; and the drive, influencing skills and ability to collaborate with many stakeholders at all levels to transform that vision into a reality. 

The Senior Product Marketer will be responsible for a high-growth area, collaborate with product management and engineering leadership on vision, define the portfolio and requirements to fulfill that vision.  This individual must enjoy partnering with Engineering to assist with building a CDK Data Insights across our ecosystem of products through quick iteration and data-driven experimentation. To make it all happen, one must possess a blend of business and tech-savviness and drive to make our vision a reality. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Owns Go-To-Market and messaging strategy, including creation, buy-in, and execution, as well as setting and achieving the market and sales goals for their product line
  • Establishes positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, and enablement of the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure they are aligned and work efficiently to generate and close opportunities
  • Builds and executes effective go-to-market strategies, including market characterization, development of the go-to-market plan, driving and delivering demand generation programs, influencing pricing and distribution, enabling sales channels with tools and resources, and defining market requirements and business cases for product line investment. 
  • Leading expert with the product marketing APIs portfolio of products
  • Drive thoughtful integrated marketing plans and campaigns that promote the product line vision, grow market share, and distinguish product in the competitive environment
  • Performs market and competitive research to target the market and produce insights, identifying what opportunities, challenges and dynamics exist for CDK
  • Expert that proactively collaborates and drives alignment across an array of teams (such as Sales, Product Management, Development, Marketing) to define appropriate product marketing mix and strategy
  • Understand objectives and key business performance (revenue, market share, marketing influenced opportunities, etc.) and champion necessary initiatives to attain key results and objectives

Required Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate professional experience
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Product Marketing, Market Analysis or Channel Strategy
  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective product marketing programs leveraging web, email, and social media, while including behavioral metrics
  • Experience bringing to market 3+ new products/solutions using customer and business centered rigor
  • Must be able to showcase ability to leverage modern product marketing concepts and techniques
  • Market analysis ability resulting in actionable market requirements maximizing offering profitability
  • Strong foundation of analytic skills to support communications and business case development
  • A natural collaborator with a willingness to drive hands-on tactical execution
  • Excellent communications skills, to both internal and external stakeholders, both oral and written, highly skilled in content creation for digital consumption
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate program teams
  • Proven ability to support and define market strategies for multiple sales channels
  • Must be open to 10-25% travel

Base Salary Ranges: $115,000 - $135,000

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.  The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.We offer Medical, dental, and vision benefits in addition to:
