Senior Product Manager-UK

As Product Manager, you will look for problems to solve and serve as the customers’ voice in all team meetings. Your primary focus will be to build new solutions from scratch for primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary care. 

The Product Manager is the member of the team responsible for both defining the Jobs To Be Done and the Customer Value Proposition. You will work closely with the team to define user experience, and product capabilities for a Minimum Viable Product. 

The Product Manager must be available to the team at any time, particularly during the sprint planning meeting and the sprint review meeting. The Product Manager has final authority representing the customer’s interest in backlog prioritization. In addition, he/she has a significant role in quality, and is the only team member empowered to accept new stories into the release backlog. 

The Product Manager reports to the Head of BFSI Product and will take direction from the product roadmap to guide the product releases. This role covers all countries across the Europe region

Your role in our mission:

  • Studies landscape, defines vision and potential exploration areas for Iron Mountain solutions in the Banking and Financial Services Industry domain

  • Prioritizes exploration areas based on business value and ease of execution

  • For each area of exploration, performs in-depth market research to understand market needs and gaps, competitive landscape, trends, market sizing (TAM, SAM, SOM) etc.

  • Consults with customers and domain experts to understand jobs-to-be-done. Clarifies workarounds used and inefficiencies tolerated by customers. Defines common pain points and potential Iron Mountain solutions/pain relievers

  • Identifies stakeholders (Technical Buyers, Economic Buyers, Influencers, Gatekeepers etc.). Creates and maintains business and user persona definitions

  • Market tests and validates proposed Iron Mountain solution value proposition with each stakeholder. Serve as the voice of the customer in all team meetings

  • Develops and executes on the solution roadmap and strategies. Responsible for maximizing the value of each release. Converts product vision into themes, user stories and epics. Develops acceptance criteria for product capabilities

  • Contributes to the product backlog while maintaining and prioritizing the release backlog. Defines the dates and contents for each release. Participates in sprint retrospectives with the agile team as well as product planning and forecasts

Valued skills and experience:

  • 8-12 years of relevant product management experience within BFSI or Financial Technology domain

  • Past experience in building or selling Banking Products and Solutions around Insurance, Wealth Management, Trade Finance, Compliance, Mortgage, Lending, Risk etc will be very helpful in understanding Financial Sector client requirements.  

  • An MBA, accounting or any other financial domain degree will be desirable but not binding. 

  • Conversant and knowledgeable in technology, especially AI/ML, Enterprise Content Management, Process Automation or AI/ML based Intelligent Document Processing but does not consider self a “techie”

  • Design thinking knowledge will be seen as a plus

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum Product Owner Certification or Scrum Master Certification is a plus but not required

  • Available for travel to customer sites (20-30%)

  • Ability to multitask and work with competing priorities across multiple time zones
