About the Role

Ontra is seeking a Senior Product Manager reporting to our Director, Product on our Platform team. 

We’re looking for someone excited to drive innovation by leading the development of a Global AI Search solution, and collaborating on both existing and future product lines to enhance users’ ability to derive insights from their legal contracts.

To foster team connection and collaboration, this role requires being present in either our Santa Barbara or San Francisco office up to once per quarter for team meetings and off-sites. As such, we are only considering candidates who are currently based in California, with a preference for candidates in those specific regions.

What You’ll Do

  • Team Leadership: Lead the product development team in executing the product roadmap through regular standups, planning, grooming, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with various cross-functional groups to break down problems and devise effective solutions that align with overall business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Socialize strategies with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Data Analysis: Evaluate both quantitative and qualitative data to assess product performance and identify areas needing improvement.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their challenges and incorporate feedback into product strategy.
  • Market Awareness: Keep abreast of industry trends and integrate relevant insights into the ongoing product strategy to develop competitive and differentiated solutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: 5+ years of full stack product management experience, covering both backend and frontend responsibilities.
  • Search Expertise: Proven experience in leading teams building a full stack search product, with a deep knowledge of AI tools and search techniques.
  • Technical Acumen: Aptitude for understanding and communicating technical concepts, and experience leading teams developing technical products.
  • Adaptability: A systems thinker with a growth mindset, excited to navigate a dynamic set of technical challenges.

Pay Transparency

Ontra takes individual candidate location, experience, and skills into consideration when determining compensation. The base pay range is listed below.

Some positions may be eligible for additional compensation, such as commission, variable compensation, profits interest units, or other equity-based compensation, which are not included in the below base pay range.

$163,000$228,000 USD
