ABOUT THIS ROLE

They guide new products at Apex and deliver exceptional value to our users. They drive our success, merging financial industry research and knowledge with our technical expertise to create leading product strategies. 

 

The Senior Product Manager (Wealth) will work within the Wealth team, a group dedicated to building products for financial advisors, wealth managers, and investment professionals. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Apex and with external customers to deliver advisor-facing functionality that powers managed accounts, portfolio management, trading, and client servicing. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Define a strategy, vision, and roadmap for wealth-focused products that delight advisors and firms. 

  • Research and communicate the competitive landscape and wealth management market trends. 

  • Generate insights and actionable recommendations aligned to Apex’s business goals. 

  • Collaborate with customers and senior business leaders to identify opportunities for advisor-driven business improvement. 

  • Own your products throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). 

  • Define, drive, and measure success criteria for wealth features and tools. 

  • Work in Jira to write initiatives, features, epics, and user stories that communicate advisor needs clearly to engineering. 

  • Build strong relationships across Apex and with external stakeholders  

 

Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field (or equivalent work experience) required 

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably with wealth management or fintech products. 

  • Experience with advisor workflows, managed accounts, and portfolio servicing. 

  • Experience with RESTful API integrations and advisor technology platforms. 

  • Experience with Miro, Figma, or other workflow software for product discovery and cross-functional workshops. 

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities 

  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to wealth platforms. 

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to influence across all levels of the organization and foster alignment. 

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in BI and related tools (e.g., Excel, SQL). 

  • End-to-end SDLC management experience. 

  • Ability to deliver frequent value and prioritize effectively. 

  • Understanding of APIs and ability to work with engineering on integration use cases. 

  • Proficiency in Figma for collaboration with design teams. 

  • Proficiency in Confluence and Jira for product documentation and backlog management. 

 

Work Environment 

  • This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week. 

  • Ability to travel up to 20%
