This is an in-office role located in Mountain View/San Francisco.

The Product Manager for Yahoo Finance Subscriptions will be responsible for Yahoo Finance Gold, Silver and Bronze; these offer an industry-leading bundle of benefits across our features and platforms. They will build a compelling end-to-end experience for subscribers, and partner with feature teams to drive growth by promoting subscriptions,  improving conversion, reducing churn and constantly increasing the value we deliver. The ideal candidate has excellent product growth skills and user empathy. They are passionate about building seamless, engaging paid products that deliver for users and the business, and love to win with integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Product Ownership: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, including  prioritization, delivery and iteration based on user feedback and key performance metrics.  This includes creating user stories, managing a backlog and providing peer leadership to cross-functional partners to get things done.

  • Subscription Growth: Execute a comprehensive growth strategy that leverages customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing and onboarding experiences to maximize acquisition and retention.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across the different product teams to create great paid experiences throughout the web and mobile app.

  • Performance Optimization: Develop deep expertise on the economics of our subscription product and use that to guide the team’s roadmap and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on digital media applications, consumer-facing utilities, or productivity tools; 2+ years of experience with a direct-to-consumer subscription product

  • Operating Knowledge: An understanding of how subscription businesses work. You know the nuts-and-bolts of registration, billing, payment, cancellation and churn.

  • User-Centric Approach: A user-first mindset with a proven ability to balance delighting users, delivering value to users and growing the business.

  • A passion for investing: Working knowledge of equities, options, ETFs and mutual funds. A desire to help people build wealth.

  • Cross-Platform Expertise: Proven success in delivering websites and mobile apps of exceptional quality.

  • Data Proficiency: Experience leveraging data and user research to guide decision-making and optimize product outcomes. Working knowledge of the use and misuse of statistics

  • Strong Leadership Capabilities: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams.

The compensation for this position ranges from $120,750.00 - $251,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
