Summary:

Anaconda is seeking a talented Senior Product Manager, Platform & Services to join our rapidly-growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply them to the world of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. In this role you'll lead product strategy and execution for two critical teams: Platform Core and Account Services. Our Platform Core team focuses on infrastructure, pipelines, tooling, and deployment. Our Account Services team focuses on authentication, authorization, and subscription capabilities that run on the Platform and are used by our customers throughout our products.


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead product strategy and roadmap for our Platform Core team. Guide the infrastructure and tooling that power our applications, enable scalability, empower developers, and connect us with our industry partnerships.
  • Lead product strategy and roadmap for our Account Services team. Create simple to use identity and payment functionality including: role-based access controls (RBAC), single sign-on (SSO), subscriptions, and credit card payments.
  • Collaborate with customer success, sales engineering, and field teams to understand enterprise patterns and customer infrastructure constraints
  • Partner closely with engineers to understand infrastructure challenges and translate technical functionality into product features and capabilities
  • Work with security and compliance teams to ensure our platform meets enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to establish technical standards and architectural decisions that impact product capabilities
  • Align with product managers building with the platform and account services
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and trade-offs to stakeholders
  • Drive technical product decisions around cloud provider integrations, Kubernetes orchestration, and containerization strategies.
  • Define and prioritize features that improve deployment reliability, security, and operational efficiency for both Anaconda-hosted and customer-managed instances


What You Need:

  • 5+ years of software product management experience with at least 2+ years focused on platform, infrastructure, or enterprise software products
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data and metrics to drive product decisions
  • Proven track record of working with platform engineering teams and understanding the technical challenges of scalable infrastructure
  • Experience managing products that serve both internal engineering teams and external enterprise customers
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and modern deployment technologies
  • Understanding of cloud provider services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and how they can be leveraged for optimal application deployment
  • Deep understanding of enterprise software deployment patterns including on-premise, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud environments
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
  • Experience with enterprise authentication including RBAC, SSO, SAML, and IDPs
  • Experience with packaging and deployment tools such as Helm, Operators, or similar enterprise deployment solutions

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience working across engineering, security, and go-to-market teams
  • Previous experience as a platform engineer, DevOps engineer, or site reliability engineer before transitioning to product management
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments and understanding of container orchestration challenges
  • Experience building developer tools or platforms used by engineering teams
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA) and their impact on platform architecture
  • Experience with enterprise software sales cycles and understanding customer procurement requirements
  • Background in data science, AI/ML infrastructure, or scientific computing platforms
  • Experience with open-source software packaging and distribution
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience working in an open-source, AI, or data science-oriented company

The base salary range for this role is $173,500 - $225,500 for candidates in New York City and San Francisco, and $130,000 - $191,500 for other US-based team members, along with annual bonus potential, equity participation, and benefits.


Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by various factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will provide more specific details on the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
