About the company
Kodex revolutionizes how organizations handle sensitive subpoenas and data requests from law enforcement and government agencies. Founded by a former FBI agent and backed by leading investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, Peak XV and Thiel Capital, Kodex has become the industry standard for secure data exchange. Our platform supports over 15,000 government agencies in 190 countries and is trusted by industry leaders like Coinbase, Stripe, and AT&T.
By transforming a traditionally complex and manual process into a streamlined digital workflow, Kodex helps organizations strengthen compliance, enhance security, and reduce operational costs by millions each year. We bridge the gap between companies and authorized requestors, ensuring that sensitive data is handled with uncompromising security, transparency, and efficiency.

The Role

Kodex is building the infrastructure — the “rails” — that everything else in trusted data exchange runs on. We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to own the foundations for how data securely moves into, across, and out of the platform: identity/auth, APIs/integrations, MCP, enclaves/encryption, and the platform infrastructure that makes the rest of Kodex possible.

You’ll shape how Kodex products, customers, and internal engineering teams build on top of a shared platform. That means owning the roadmap for KIP (our identity provider), the next wave of MCP server work, and bi-directional API design already being asked for by customers like Meta and Apple — while shaping the platform decisions that will define what we build ourselves versus what we integrate.

This is a platform PM role — deeply technical, deeply cross-functional, and measured by how easily other product and engineering teams can build on what you ship. You’ll have some direct customer contact (Meta, Apple, developer-API users), but most of your work will lean on internal alignment across engineering leadership and other product teams. You’re the connective tissue that turns strategy into decisions everyone else can move on.

Responsibilities

  • Own KIP (Kodex Identity Provider) end-to-end — the identity foundation that powers sign-on across every Kodex product, replacing existing identity systems in the Core Portal and beyond.

  • Drive the MCP roadmap — our first MCP server is close to shipping; you’ll define the next wave of use cases, integration points, and how MCP interacts with our APIs and AI agent workflows.

  • Design bi-directional API strategy — customers (Meta, Apple, and others) are asking for two-way API support. You’ll shape the design, prioritize the ask, and align internal teams on delivery.

  • Shape platform infrastructure decisions — including the Nitro Enclave data model (what lives in enclaves and what doesn’t), long-term compliance readiness (FedRAMP is on the horizon), and how new capabilities plug into the platform.

  • Build internal-team adoption — success is measured by how easily other Kodex product and engineering teams adopt what the platform provides. You’ll set the internal go-to-market for the platform.

  • Partner across engineering leadership — align Integrations, Core Portal, Verify, Government, and adjacent teams on prioritization, sequencing, and architectural tradeoffs.

  • Represent the technical customer voice — for direct API users and platform partners, you’re the PM who translates specific customer needs into platform capabilities.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of Product Management or Technical Program Management experience at Enterprise B2B SaaS, with senior-tier ownership at established platform companies.

  • Platform, API, Identity, or Integrations background — you’ve owned developer-facing APIs, identity providers, SSO, RBAC, or the equivalent under-the-covers platform work. This is not a nice-to-have; it’s the core of the role.

  • Technical fluency — enough to hold your own with engineering leadership on architectural tradeoffs, prioritization, and design decisions. You don’t need to be an ex-engineer, but you can’t be hand-wavy on the technical layer.

  • Sensitive-data domain experience — you’ve worked in fintech, security, health tech, compliance, or another enterprise category where the seriousness of the data was central to how you built the product.

  • Cross-functional operator — the majority of platform PM success is internal alignment. You’re comfortable getting buy-in from multiple engineering managers, socializing designs, and turning cross-team dependencies into clear plans.

  • Platform PM mindset — you understand that success is measured through internal team adoption, not direct end-user KPIs. You’ve worked in that model and thrived in it.

  • Startup / scrappy fit — comfortable in an environment where processes are still being defined and product decisions require judgment under ambiguity.

Big Pluses

  • Software engineering background transitioned into PM — bonus points for a genuine technical foundation

  • Prior experience at enterprise-platform companies.

  • MCP or agentic AI product experience.

  • Bi-directional API or webhook design at scale.

  • Compliance / regulatory context: FedRAMP, SOC 2, GDPR, or adjacent frameworks.

Benefits

  • Remote-first within the U.S.

  • Offsites in exciting locations. Past trips include Seattle, Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco.

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity

  • Unlimited Vacation plus 14 company holidays

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans

  • 401(k) retirement plan

  • Dynamic Environment — Work on impactful, high-priority matters with opportunities for professional growth.
