What You'll do:
Jane Technologies is seeking a Platform and SDK Technical Product Manager to own the vision and execution of our Digital Merchandising (DM) SDK and scale our headless eCommerce API ecosystem for both internal and external partners. In this role, you will lead the SDK and API-focused team within Jane's Platform Product vertical, enabling partners to leverage our robust personalization and checkout optimization features.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution for Jane's SDK development and API ecosystem
- Drive adoption of Jane's SDK among retailers and partners by creating compelling documentation, demos, and implementation resources
- Partner with engineering teams to design scalable API architectures that support high-volume traffic and diverse integration needs
- Collaborate with sales and account management to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and integration guides for external partners
- Monitor SDK and API performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization
- Stay current with industry standards and best practices in API development and SDK implementation
- Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams to prioritize feature development and technical improvements
- Advocate for developer experience and API usability both internally and externally
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on developer platforms, SDKs, or APIs
- Strong technical background with experience in software development or engineering
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling developer-focused products
- Experience with RESTful API design, SDK development, and integration patterns
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Data-driven approach to product development with experience using analytics to inform decisions and measure the stability of systems
- Experience with documentation systems and developer resources
- Experience with advertising technology and eCommerce platforms
- Experience working with enterprise solutions engineering or commercial partnerships
- Knowledge of pixel-based event tracking implementations
- Knowledge of JavaScript, React, or other frontend frameworks
- Familiarity with API management tools and gateway technologies
- Understanding of authentication protocols and security best practices
- Background in cannabis technology or regulated industries is a plus
