The Role
SimplePractice is looking for an experienced Sr Product Manager to lead and champion our navigation and design system, treating it as a core product that serves and supercharges our entire product. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and a passion for design systems. You will work to define the vision, prioritize the roadmap, and drive the adoption of our design system.
Responsibilities
- Define and Champion the Vision: Articulate a clear product vision and strategy for navigation and the design system that aligns with broader company goals. Act as a change agent, building consensus and advocating for the system's value to secure ongoing investment.
- Manage the Product Roadmap: Own the roadmap, prioritizing the development of components and features based on user needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
- Drive Adoption and Engagement: Develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan to increase visibility and encourage adoption of the design system across product teams. Drive adoption of design systems across product teams through documentation, training, and advocacy. Establish and maintain feedback loops through user interviews and surveys to ensure the system remains relevant and useful.
- Measure Impact: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and use both qualitative and quantitative data to measure the design system's impact on efficiency, consistency, and time-to-market.
- Bridge Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between design, engineering, and product teams, reducing communication gaps and ensuring a shared source of truth.
- Reduce Debt and Rework: Champion a component-based approach to reduce technical debt and minimize rework across the organization.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of product development experience
- Proven experience as a product manager, ideally with a focus on platform, infrastructure, or internal tools.
- Strong understanding of design systems and their role in a scaled product organization.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across disciplines.
- A data-driven mindset, comfortable using metrics to inform decisions and demonstrate value.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. You can inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- A passionate advocate for your product with an infectious enthusiasm for building something truly remarkable to surprise and delight customers.
- Experience in the SaaS industry is a plus
Base Compensation Range
$170,000 - $190,000 annually
Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
