Gradient AI:

Gradient AI is revolutionizing Group Health and P&C insurance with AI-powered solutions that help insurers predict risk more accurately, improve profitability, and automate underwriting and claims. Our SaaS platform taps into one of the industry’s largest data lakes—tens of millions of policies and claims—to deliver deep, actionable insights. Trusted by leading carriers, MGAs, TPAs, and self-insured employers, Gradient AI has grown rapidly since our founding in 2018. Backed by $56M in Series C funding, we're scaling fast—and it's an exciting time to join the team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in the group and individual insurance space. You will bring strong technical fluency and an entrepreneurial mindset to help drive innovative product solutions that transform how insurers underwrite, price, and manage risk within these products.

In this role, you’ll be the connective tissue between our engineering, data science, and client-facing teams—driving the development of cutting-edge AI/ML-powered solutions tailored to the unique needs of customers in insurance market.

You won’t just gather requirements; you’ll challenge them, refine them, and translate them into smart, strategic product decisions. You’ll be equally comfortable in deep technical discussions with developers and in high-level strategy sessions with executives.

This is a fully remote opportunity.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead product strategy and execution for AI/ML-powered tools across the insurance product lifecycle, including underwriting, policy administration, claims, and risk management.
  • Partner with clients, sales, and service teams to identify opportunities, gather feedback, and shape the product roadmap.
  • Present product concepts and roadmaps to internal stakeholders and external clients, including at the executive level.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and user stories, collaborating closely with engineering and data teams.
  • Engage in deep technical conversations with software developers, data engineers, and data scientists—and serve as the translator between business and technical stakeholders.
  • Drive product development from ideation to launch, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Proactively identify and solve complex business problems using creativity and strategic thinking.
  • Balance technical feasibility, customer impact, and business priorities to deliver maximum value.

 Skills needed to succeed:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in a SaaS or startup environment.
  • Direct experience in the group and individual insurance industry.
  • Proven track record leading product implementations from concept to launch.
  • Ability to confidently engage with engineering and data teams; fluency in technical discussions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, actionable concepts.
  • Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and delivering results in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
  • A creative, collaborative mindset with the confidence to share your point of view and navigate differing opinions.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML, data pipelines, software architecture, or tools like Python is a plus.
  • Experience working in Confluence and Jira to facilitate a disciplined product development process.
  • Comfortable operating independently to deliver results.
  • Passion for solving real-world insurance challenges with practical, data-driven solutions.

What We Offer:

  • A fun, team-oriented startup culture.
  • Generous stock options - we all get to own a piece of what we’re building.
  • Unlimited vacation days.
  • Flexible schedule that supports working from home.
  • Full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid paternal leave, and more.
  • Ample opportunities to learn and take on new responsibilities.

We are an equal opportunity employer.
