Senior Product Manager for Federal Solutions

This role will be based in Washington, DC, Plano, TX or US remote. 

The Senior Product Manager for Federal Solutions is a key leadership position responsible for leading the product strategy, development, and launch of solutions tailored to government agencies and departments. This individual will be a leader within the Cloud and Edge Business Unit that sets and executes on the vision to take the Ribbon product portfolio through the next evolution of virtualization and flexible, cloud-based offers for the Federal customer base.  This individual will ensure that product offerings are aligned with evolving customer expectations, management of our pricing strategy, and continuously advancing and evolving the customer experience. This is a “roll up your sleeves” position, where the right candidate will set the direction, work collaboratively across multiple product teams, 3rd parties and deliver solutions that are of the highest quality and carrier grade scale while providing market leading operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

·         Work with sales on product quotes, customer specific presentations and determining new product requirements

·         Collaborate with our Design and Development teams to bring to-market winning Federal solution to compete with ours in the Federal market

·         Understanding specific government needs, translating those needs into product requirements, and ensuring the solutions meet regulatory compliance and industry standards such as FIPS 140 and drive to have Ribbon products achieve and/or continue to maintain their Approved Product Listing (APL) for selling into US DoD agencies. 

·         Work closely with our 3rd parties that make up the essential parts of the Ribbon Federal Solutions

·         Influence cross-functional leaders in support of strategic product directions

·         Align product vision with the businesses short and long-term goals

·         Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products backed up by business case analysis, through the leadership team

·         Deliver training to keep the sales team updated on product innovation

·         Ownership and vision of the product roadmap including prioritization of features

·         Management of pricing models and pricing strategy

·         Assess product development enhancement opportunities and appropriate release cadence

·         Coordinate RFI/RFQ/RFP responses and field trials

·         Product lifecycle management from concept to launch to end-of-life

·         Function as an evangelist of Ribbon’s products and participate in press activities, conferences, discussions with thought leaders and/or market analysts

Required Skills:

Please note: This position is for U.S.-based candidates only. Due to the nature of our federal government customers and compliance requirements, U.S. citizenship is required. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship or support immigration processes for this role.

·         8+ years of progressive Product Management experience

·         Strong understanding of the federal market, government agencies, and relevant DoD Cybersecurity requirements is essential

·         Proven experience developing and delivering real-time communications products and solutions for the Federal market

·         Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution

·         Excellent presentation and communications skills

·         Proven ability to work collaboratively with teams across organizations in multiple geographic locations

·         Strong communication skills:  must be able to provide clear directions and information, both verbal and written.  Ability to effectively tailor the communication of technical information to various audiences.

·         Strong technical aptitude and business knowledge

·         Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MBA or advanced degree preferred
