Cloudflare Realtime is a new and exciting suite of products designed to empower developers to build truly interactive applications with real-time audio, video, and AI experiences. This suite brings together our highly performant SFU (Selective Forwarding Unit), STUN, and TURN services, alongside the innovative RealtimeKit - a collection of mobile and web SDKs and server-side services (recording, coordination, transcription).

You will be instrumental in shaping the future of real-time communication on our global network, making complex media capabilities accessible to developers of all skill levels.

  • Guide internal and external teams on developing and integrating with Realtime services and SDKs.

  • Ruthlessly prioritize across a complex environment of diverse customers, stakeholders, and objectives, with a strong focus on delivering developer value.

  • Deeply understand WebRTC and real-time communication challenges, translating complex technical concepts into intuitive developer experiences.
Examples Of Desirable Skills, Knowledge And Experience
  • Proven track record of shipping developer-facing products from ideation to launch, with 3+ years of professional experience working on technology products.
  • Strong knowledge of real-time communication technologies, including WebRTC, WebSockets, SFUs, and TURN servers.
  • Deep understanding of the developer journey, with a passion for building tools and SDKs that abstract complexity and enable rapid application development.
  • Developer focus - you enjoy working directly with developers, understanding their pain points, and helping them get their initial implementations off the ground.
  • Strong technical abilities. You are intimately familiar with modern software development practices used to build and deploy applications, and can understand the impact of engineering decisions on the product.
  • A desire to sweat the details and ship great developer experiences, focusing on ease of use, clear documentation, and robust APIs.
  • A love for talking to developers at organizations both large and small on a daily basis to build and ship products that solve real problems.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, thriving in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, able to work with diverse groups, gain alignment, and drive product forward.
