The Senior Product Manager, Business Services, will lead strategy and management for a broad portfolio of business-focused solutions, including Managed Services, Security, Collaboration, and Connectivity. This role is pivotal in driving customer growth and retention, elevating the C Spire brand, and maximizing profitability across direct, indirect, web, and e-commerce channels.
The ideal candidate will ensure offerings are innovative, secure, and aligned with customer needs—delivering best-in-class business solutions that empower organizations to thrive in a digital-first world.

Responsibilities:

What You Will Do

In this highly strategic role, you will own the lifecycle of key connectivity products and collaborate across departments to deliver innovative, revenue-generating business solutions.

  • Develop and manage business product offerings from the customer’s point of view, focusing on growing adoption of Managed Services (e.g., IT support, cloud infrastructure), Security (e.g., network security, threat detection), Collaboration (e.g., unified communications, remote work tools), and Connectivity solutions. 

  • Cultivate partnerships with technology vendors and service providers to expand and enhance the Business Services portfolio. 

  • Serve as product lead in the design, development, and release of new services and features across the Business Services spectrum. 

  • Act as Product Evangelist – conduct training sessions and workshops to educate internal teams and external partners on product capabilities and value. 

  • Develop and present product definitions, white papers, and business cases to cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure alignment and achievement of KPIs. 

  • Model and evaluate service offerings using financial models (NPV, margin, operating costs) to guide investment and pricing decisions. 

  • Collaborate across departments , including marketing, engineering, operations, support, and sales, to execute strategic initiatives. 

  • Leverage technology trends and customer insights to inform product innovation in areas such as cybersecurity, cloud collaboration, and managed IT services. 

  • Elevate the C Spire brand by delivering differentiated, high-impact business solutions that meet evolving customer needs. 

Qualifications:

What You Will Bring

You’ll bring a sharp, analytical mindset, a passion for business technology, and the leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams toward innovation and excellence.

In addition to that, we require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline—or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of five years of product development/management experience in business services, including Managed Services, Security, Collaboration, or Connectivity.

  • Experience with enterprise IT solutions, cloud platforms, cybersecurity tools, and unified communications technologies. 

  • Innovative thinker, detail-oriented, and a problem solver who proactively identifies areas for improvement. 

  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels. 

  • Ability to build and defend financial analyses to support product decisions and drive data-driven strategies. 

  • Proficiency in applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Co-Pilot. 

  • Passionate about technology and customer experience, with a drive to deliver business solutions that exceed expectations. 

We will give special consideration to candidates who have:

  • Experience in Fiber networks, Internet services, and access/networking hardware solutions.

  • Able and willing to work onsite from our office in Birmingham, AL.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit for long periods and use a computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing a screen. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends. Travel to the Corporate Office in Ridgeland, MS is required a few times per year.
