About Eleanor Health

At Eleanor Health we are helping people affected by addiction  live amazing lives. We work to fulfill this goal by building and growing the first addiction and mental health services provider designed to deliver a longitudinal, whole-person, value-based model of care for each community member. Our team is ambitious and committed to this unique opportunity, and understands the importance of attracting strong and experienced talent to make our vision for Eleanor Health a reality every day, and for every recovery journey we are entrusted to be a part of.

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Product Manager, AI to drive Eleanor Health’s AI product strategy and execution. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at the intersection of technology and clinical operations. You will lead the evaluation, deployment, and iteration of AI-powered tools that directly improve how community members access care and how our teams operate day-to-day.

This role is being created because AI is a top strategic priority for Eleanor Health — not as a future initiative, but as an active one. We are actively deploying AI-powered tools focused on AI voice and SMS agents to improve community member access, and have deployed Claude Enterprise to key employees to expand how our team works with AI. The opportunity ahead includes outbound AI for lead conversion, pre-visit data collection, transcript and call analysis, and AI-driven scheduling optimization. This person will own all of it.

What You'll Own

AI Vendor Evaluation & Deployment

Own the full lifecycle of AI vendor relationships, from evaluation and selection through deployment, iteration, and ongoing performance management. This includes our current AI voice and SMS agent initiatives as well as future AI tools we bring into the organization.

  • Lead structured vendor evaluations: coordinate demos, manage scorecards, drive to a recommendation, and own contract and integration requirements
  • Define clinical safety requirements for every AI deployment — crisis escalation protocols, scope guardrails, and behavioral health-specific safeguards are non-negotiable
  • Run pilots, define success metrics, and drive go/no-go decisions with clear data
Internal AI Deployment & Adoption

Own the strategy for deploying Claude and other AI tools internally to improve how our teams work. We have already deployed Claude Enterprise to key employees — this person will drive broader adoption, identify high-value use cases, and ensure team members are using AI effectively and safely with protected health information.

  • Develop onboarding and training programs that help team members get real value from AI tools in their day-to-day work
  • Identify and prioritize high-value internal use cases: transcript analysis, call analysis, data entry automation, schedule optimization, and more
  • Establish governance and guardrails for AI use with PHI across all teams
Improving Internal Workflows & Deploying AI Agents

Partner with Operations, Clinical, Technology, and other key teams to identify where AI agents can automate or improve workflows that currently require manual effort. This spans both member-facing automation and internal team productivity. A core part of this role is empowering teams across the organization to develop and deploy AI in their own work — not centralizing AI in Technology, but building the capability, tools, and confidence so every team can leverage it.

  • Map current manual workflows and identify where AI agents can remove repetitive steps, reduce errors, or eliminate handoffs entirely
  • Build and maintain the AI product roadmap in partnership with the Director of Technology and ELT — with clear prioritization, success metrics, and business case for each initiative
  • Serve as the internal expert on AI in behavioral health, educating the organization on what’s possible, what’s safe, and what’s not
Technology Environment

Eleanor Health’s technology stack spans EHR, CRM, scheduling, telephony, data infrastructure, and proprietary internal tools. Core platforms include athenahealth (EHR), Salesforce (CRM), and a home-grown operations platform supported by a broader ecosystem of specialized vendors across communications, data warehousing, analytics, and more. This is a rich, complex environment with real opportunities to simplify, integrate, and build. AI solutions must work within this stack — particularly athenahealth, which is the primary source of truth for member data and is non-negotiable for any member-facing AI deployment.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager, with a demonstrated track record of taking products from concept through deployment and actively using AI tools as part of how you work today
  • Demonstrated ability to take an AI product from evaluation through deployment — not just strategy, but execution
  • Experience working in or with healthcare organizations, with a working understanding of HIPAA compliance and clinical workflows
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships: evaluating options, running structured assessments, negotiating contracts, and holding vendors accountable post-launch
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills — ability to partner with clinical, operations, and engineering teams simultaneously
  • Comfort with ambiguity: this role is building something new, and the person who thrives here shapes the path rather than following one
  • Excellent communication skills — ability to translate technical complexity into clear business decisions for executive audiences
Preferred
  • Experience with AI voice agents, conversational AI, or SMS automation platforms in a healthcare setting
  • Direct experience with athenahealth or similar EHR systems
  • Background at a behavioral health, SUD treatment, or multi-state virtual care organization
  • Familiarity with clinical safety considerations specific to behavioral health — crisis protocols, scope of practice boundaries, de-escalation requirements
  • Experience deploying large language models (LLMs) or AI assistants in a healthcare context
  • Background at a tech-enabled healthcare company that went through a similar AI adoption or automation phase

Compensation & Benefits

The total target annual compensation range for this position is $175,000-195,000. The actual compensation offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
