We are seeking a Senior Product Manager, Admin Experience to lead core aspects of access and footprint management for Atlassian admins across our platform. In this role, you'll shape how admins understand who has access to what, configure the right controls, and confidently manage their Atlassian footprint as their organizations grow.
You will own a core part of the strategy and roadmap for how admins set up, govern, and evolve access to Atlassian products - defining key journeys like onboarding users and groups, assigning and revoking product access, and making safe, auditable changes over time. Your work will directly impact Atlassian's growth and our customers' trust by ensuring admins can easily activate new products, scale usage, and maintain a secure, well-managed footprint.
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity.
  • Define core aspects of the access and footprint strategy for admins across the Atlassian platform, focusing on admins provision and deprovision users, manage permissions, and assign access.
  • Deeply understand jobs-to-be-done for admin personas (org, IT, security, platform, and team admins) as they manage access, govern usage, and report on their Atlassian footprint.
  • Shape critical admin journeys: landing admins in the right surfaces, surfacing clear insights about users and products, and removing friction from high-frequency tasks like onboarding, offboarding, and access changes.
  • Partner closely with Design and Research to build intuitive, trustworthy admin experiences that balance usability, compliance, and security.
  • Collaborate with Platform, Product, Security, Billing, and GTM teams so that access and footprint experiences are consistent and connected across products and commercial motions (e.g., expansion, consolidation, migrations).
  • Work with Engineering and Data Science to define the right admin and footprint health metrics, run experiments, and continuously improve key flows and decisions.
  • Drive alignment across Atlassian on models for identity, access, and footprint so customers experience a cohesive, predictable admin platform, not a collection of disconnected controls.

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with substantial time owning admin, identity, permissions, or access-management journeys in a B2B SaaS platform.
  • Deep experience building for administrators and platform owners (e.g. org/site admins, security/IT, billing/finance), including workflows for provisioning, deprovisioning, approvals, and governance.
  • Strong analytical skills, with hands-on use of product analytics and experimentation to improve admin workflows, policy adoption, and access-related outcomes (e.g. security posture, license utilization).
  • Demonstrated ability to prototype and iterate (including with AI-powered tools) to rapidly test and validate admin, permissions, and account/footprint flows across products.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex access, identity, and security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience designing and delivering access and administration experiences for both technical and business user personas in multi-product SaaS platforms.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian's admin and platform surface area (e.g. Admin Hub, organization/site administration, user management, security controls) or comparable collaboration/productivity platforms.
