As a Senior Product Designer, you'll own the design lifecycle from research to production, work on consumer and developer products, and shape design systems.

Mysten Labs believes that decentralized and open protocols are the bedrock of the internet of value. This is why at Mysten Labs, we are creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our small, high-impact design team (2–5 people). You’ll work across a spectrum of consumer products and developer-facing tools, with roughly an 80/20 split between B2C and B2B work. This role is end-to-end: you’ll own problems from early research and concept exploration through prototyping, visual design, and shipping. You’ll also contribute to our evolving design systems, ensuring coherence across a rapidly expanding product surface.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the full design lifecycle — from user research and problem framing to interaction design, high-fidelity UI, and production-ready specs — across consumer and developer products.

  • Prototype early and often. We love designers who prototype to think.

  • Shape and scale our design systems so that new products launch with coherence and existing ones evolve gracefully.

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to align on priorities, scope tradeoffs, and ship with quality at speed.

  • Bring strong visual and interaction craft to everything you touch — from micro-interactions in a wallet to the information architecture of a developer console.

  • Advocate for users by grounding decisions in research, data, and a genuine curiosity about how people interact with blockchain-powered products.

What We’re Looking For
  • 5–8 years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end ownership of shipped products — ideally a mix of consumer and platform/tools work.

  • Fluency in Figma including component architecture, auto-layout, and variables for design system work. You are enthusiastic about investigating and integrating novel creative design tools into the team's repertoire, driven by the rapid expansion of the AI-powered creativity tools domain.

  • Strong prototyping instincts. You reach for interactive prototypes over static mocks when the problem calls for it.

  • Experience contributing to or building design systems that serve multiple product surfaces.

  • Excellent visual design sensibility — typography, color, spacing, motion — paired with rigorous interaction thinking.

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity. You’re energized (not overwhelmed) by early-stage product work where the problem space is still being defined.

  • Clear, direct communication. You can articulate design rationale to engineers and executives alike.

What Will Set You Apart

We’re specifically excited about designers who are forward-leaned on the new wave of AI-augmented design tools. This is non-negotiable for us:

  • Your portfolio includes prototypes of ideas built with AI tools (Cursor, v0, Bolt, Replit Agent, or similar). Personal projects and experiments absolutely count — we’re prioritizing for the mindset, not the expertise.

  • You actively explore how AI changes the design process itself — from ideation and layout generation to code-backed prototyping — and have opinions about where it’s headed.

  • Experience or strong interest in web3, crypto wallets, DeFi, or developer tooling in the blockchain space.

Why Mysten Labs
  • Design has a real seat at the table. You’ll influence product direction, not just pixel output.

  • Small team, outsized impact. Every project you touch ships to millions of users or the developers building for them.

  • Remote-first and globally distributed — we care about your work, not your timezone.

  • Competitive salary + meaningful equity in one of the most well-funded infrastructure companies in web3.

  • You’ll work at the frontier of consumer crypto, where the design challenges are genuinely novel.

How to Apply

Send us your portfolio and a brief note about what excites you about this role. We’d especially love to see:

  • Case studies showing your process from research through shipping.

  • Any AI-built prototypes or experiments — even rough ones. Show us how you think with new tools.

  • Examples of design system contributions if you have them.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which may include verification of employment history, education credentials, criminal history, and other relevant information.

To support an efficient and fair hiring process, we may use technology-assisted tools, including artificial intelligence (AI), to help identify and evaluate candidates. All hiring decisions are ultimately made by human reviewers.

Our team is remote first and we are hiring across the world. Here at Mysten Labs, you’ll be joining a world-class team with tremendous growth potential as we bring the next billion users to web3. We raised a $300M Series B round from top Silicon Valley led venture funds like Jump Crypto, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Binance Labs, Redpoint, Lightspeed, Coinbase Ventures, Electric Capital, Standard Crypto, NFX, Slow Ventures, Scribble Ventures, Samsung Next, Lux Capital, among other investment firms and strategic partners. Come join us and build the future of web3!
