Packed with intuitive functionality, CompanyCam facilitates unparalleled communication and accountability across a contractor’s entire business. We’re committed to providing a consumer-grade, game-changing experience that helps our users build trust within their company and with their customers.

But don’t let that corporate description fool you—the people behind our buttoned-up product are laid-back (but hardworking), genuine, and kickass, and you could be one of them!

The Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading design projects, fostering strong relationships, and contributing to the overall success of our product. Working closely with Product and Engineering, you’ll design intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling solutions that drive business impact. You’ll focus on solving complex design challenges within defined product areas, applying best practices in interaction design, visual design, and information architecture to enhance the user experience. As a key team member, the Senior Product Designer mentors contributors, communicates confidently, and leads the solution of complex design challenges.

Remote: Candidates must permanently and currently reside in the United States. Employees are not required to work in the office or relocate to Lincoln, Nebraska, for this opportunity. Employees are encouraged to come hang at headquarters for up to 10 days per calendar year on CompanyCam’s dime.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and drive design projects with high-level performance, with a focus on effective problem-solving beyond best practices.
  • Provide mentorship to contributor-level practitioners within the team.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to ensure alignment and execution of design solutions.
  • Communicate design decisions effectively, articulating rationale and soliciting feedback in critiques.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing thoughtful critique and incorporating feedback into your work.
  • Balance customer needs, technical constraints, and business goals to create practical and impactful solutions.
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
  • Advocate for accessibility and usability, ensuring inclusive experiences for all users.
The Impact You’ll Have

At CompanyCam, your work makes a real impact. Whether you're writing code, supporting customers, or designing experiences, your contributions directly shape the product we deliver and the people we serve. We're building something that helps real people solve real problems—and we believe that kind of work is best done by a team that reflects the world around us. In this role, you’ll drive impact by:

  • Leading high-level design projects with a focus on solving problems that go beyond standard solutions and best practices.
  • Defining success metrics and ensuring that design efforts contribute measurable value to the business.
  • Guiding and mentoring junior or contributor-level designers to elevate team capability and performance.
What You’ll Bring
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Product Designer, preferably working on SaaS products.
  • Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools for wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design.
  • Deep curiosity in emerging technologies like AI and how to use it to improve the lives of customers plus refine internal processes.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Research teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain design decisions and processes.
  • Education or certification in Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, or a related field, preferred.
  • A continuous growth-mindset, with a focus on learning, embracing challenges, and continuously improving.
  • A knack for creativity and innovation, bringing fresh ideas to the table and solving complex problems.
